T/CW - derealization

"I'll get it!" Tommy shouted. I winced at his volume. 'I'm gonna have to get used to that,' I thought to myself. He jumped out of his chair and went to get the door. I used this to my advantage and was able to secretly throw away my food, I wasn't very hungry.

I heard a laugh. It sounded like-

No

It can't be.

"Hey, Phil!" A man said. He had a mutton chop beard and wore a New York Yankees baseball cap. 

"Schlatt! Good to see you again, man." They shook hands. Loud laughter could be heard from outside by Tommy and Tubbo. The laugh sounded so much like him.

"OI, Y/N!" Tommy shouted from outside. He sounded so happy, his voice was filled with pure excitement. I, on the other hand, was nervous. This is my brother- no. This is my friend's friend, I wanna make a good first impression. I plastered a smile on my face and started walking to the front door. 

Tommy was dragging along a boy wearing a green collared button-up shirt. He had blue eyes that were covered by his shaggy brown hair. "Tubbo, meet-"

"Y/n?" He asked, face covered with a confused look. 'There's no way,'  I thought. 

Tommy brushed it off and said, "Y/n, this is Tubbo! That's his nickname, his real name is-"

"Toby?" I gasped. 'This can't be real right now-'

"How the fuck do you know, woman?" He asked after a long and awkward silence.

Narrative POV

The three teens stood in silence while the adults/older kids were conversing inside.

"They're taking an awfully long time out there," Phil commented. He didn't want to admit it, but he was nervous. He wanted Y/n and Tubbo to get along, but he was unsure. 

"Yeah, they're probably introducing themselves," Schlatt added while sipping his water. "Y/n seems like a nice kid, how old is she?" 

"They're thirteen," Techno said. A loud 'WHAT THE FUCK?' could be heard outside, startling the four men.

Y/n POV

My mind was racing. So many questions, so little time to ask. 

Was it him?

Is this real?

No

This isn't real

I shook my head to get rid of the thoughts and looked at 'Tubbo' before me. 

"Is it really you, Y/n?" He said. I gave a small nod before running into his arms. He was stiff for a couple of seconds before squeezing me back into the tightest hug I have ever had. Screw Ms. Puffy's hugs, I had Toby back. 

"WHAT THE FUCK?" Tommy shouted, startling both me and Tubbo. "Do you two know each other or something? LIke-"

"This is my - uh - sister, Tommy." When I say his jaw dropped, it DROPPED.

"What's going on? Everyone alright?" Schlatt said as he rushed out of the house (yes, soft Schlatt gives me life). Not far behind him was Phil and Wilbur, I assumed Techno was still inside reading his book of Greek Mythology. 

"Uh, yeah we're fine, dad! I, uh, just found my long-lost sister, no big deal!" All of their expressions went blank. I wanted to laugh so bad, but I knew it wasn't the time.

"Sorry, I thought I heard you wrong," Phil said with a breathy chuckle. "You said, sister?" We both nodded. "Like, your biological sister or-"

"Yes, Phil. Real sister." I said with a small grin.

hii! sorry if this wasn't as wholesome as you thought it would be, i kinda had writers block half way through

also ngl kinda starting to lose motivation to write this, so sorry if the chapters come out a bit later than usual
