The flashing cameras, motion pictures in the daily prophet, balls and afternoon tea's with the most powerful families in the wizarding world, not being able to get a break, all became tiring to the young Violet Oswald, she longed for more, she longed to have friends, go out, and have fun, or perhaps go to school

With her father being Cornelius Oswald Fudge, she has to live up to a certain extent especially while being the sister to her 5 siblings, Colin 21, Abraham 20, Adam 18, Violet 16, and lastly Serene 13

Their family had to keep up an image, which meant there is way too much drama for either of them to attend Hogwarts like the rest of the kids they knew, but violet wanted nothing more to escape her life, yet she did love ever family deeply and dearly but she needs to explore her options, that's where the Malfoy's come in

It was June 20th the Oswald-Fudge family were gathered at the long decorated table for breakfast, her sister and her older brother Adam sitting on either side of her, and on the other side sat Colin and Abraham, at the ends you would find her father and mother

" father have it heard about the Malfoys?" Colin placed down his copy of the daily prophet, Violet and the rest of her family directed their attention to Colin
" whatever do you mean Colin?" Their mother intervened "their redemption darling" her father sipped his tea " surely you aren't going to give them on father, especially after that stunt at the Triwizard Tournament last year right?" Colin spoke clearly

" don't worry Colin, if they want to redeem themselves, their family is up for a long summer" Abraham the second oldest stated, "are they coming to the spring ball?" Her mother said before sipping her tea and looking at her husband "they are, they have till the end of the spring to prove to me why I should allow their spots back in the ministry" he threw down the daily prophet paper and walked away from the table, his wife following

" so are we actually believing that they were bewitched by the dark lord?" Adam stirred "Adam please don't start this again," Violet said calmly " what? We all know it wasn't true, even father knows but at least he's not dumb enough to throw away"

" Adam I'm sure father had plans for the Malfoy's" Abraham spoke
" There son, Draco he attends Hogwarts, he's Violets age" serene spoke " so?"
" he's cute" she smiled " absolutely not, don't you dare get involved with that boy he's trouble" Colin looked at his sister

Violet became flustered at what her sister spoke, she's never met the Malfoy family neither ever seen their son " doesn't matter anyway Colin he has a girlfriend, Pansy Parkinson," Adam looked at violet " I don't care for that stuff anyway boys" violet played Roy her food
" good, because I will break someone in half for hurting you" Colin tightened his jaw
"Don't worry brother, violet isn't that kind of girl to be chasing boys" Adam smiled softly at his sister

The family needed to make an appearance at the ministry to announce the spring ball coming up soon, violet sat in her room at her vanity brushing her wavy hair, until her mother came in and smiled at her beautiful daughter

" Here let me" her mother took the pins out of her daughter's hand and, did her daughters hair in a bun "I remember when you needed me to do this every day, you loved the style, you wouldn't wear it any other way"
Violet smiled at her mother's memory " it is a respectable style mother"
" that it is, let's get a move on, your siblings are waiting downstairs"

The two walked downstairs to the living room where her siblings and father waited " perfect, let's go"
" oh! Father can we take floo powder and can I do it?" Serene begged, her father hesitated but handed her get floo powder, she grabbed a handful and the family got inside " Ministry of Magic!" She said clearing then dropping the powder into the chimney

They arrived at the ministry through the green flames " very good serene" violet patted her sister's arm
The family saw the reporters around and they got quiet when the family came in, Rita Skeeter rushing to get her notepad out

" father the Malfoy's are here" Serene pointed out, violet looked up quickly and saw a handsome older man, a cane that was presumed to be his wand with a snake head and his platinum blond hair, his wife on his right, her arm intertwined with his, she wore a black dress with a gray covering, her black hair and her white coming from the sides to the bottom of her hair, violet thought she was rather beautiful, but she wondered where their son was,

"Minister, it is so good to see you and your beautiful family again," Lucius said, " thank you Lucius, Narcissa, where's Draco?"
" he's at Hogwarts, couldn't make it home this weekend" Narcissa answered"
Their father nodded and Lucius looked directly at violet "I understand your daughter is my son's age, I'm sure they would be excellent friends" Lucius smiled, violet immediately smiled " perhaps if she went to Hogwarts" he added, her smile quickly faded away as her father said Hogwarts isn't for her

The announcement of the spring ball was out, Rita skeeter wanted an exclusive interview with the family of the minister, and was very clear about it " not now Rita" their father spoke strictly

Violet was talented in many sports, tennis, fencing, horse riding, her father let her play all but quidditch says it's too dangerous for her

As her fencing lesson went on with her eldest brother she was distracted by what Lucius Malfoy said, " Colin, what house do you think I would be in if I went to Hogwarts?"
He placed his sword down and lifted his armor that revealed his face " why?" He spoke out of breath " just wondering"
They placed their armor down and started again with the lesson, Violet it the next point, beating her brother in the game " Ravenclaw" he spoke walking out of the room while drinking his water

Violet raced up the stairs after him leaving the fencing room " why do you say that?"
"I don't know, you're smart, kind, loyal, wise, and you keep all of us in check" he kissed his sister's cheek before going back into the mansion " Ravenclaw" she smiled softly
