I'm sorry that this chapter has taken so long. I could not think of what should happen next. Finally, I asked my friend, we share writing ideas all the time, and she gave me some ideas. Also, my schedule has been backed up with softball, spending my days in the hospital, and school. I hope you enjoy it!

I awoke to a raccoon liking my face. It surprised me how delightful and soothing it felt against my bruised cheek, but it began to get awkward so I quickly shooed it away. I began to rise from the ground and groggily look around for some source of water to bathe myself in. Lucky for me, there was a little pond down below. I stomped down below and found a tent with a small, elderly, hairy man sitting by a fire. Fear strikes as soon as I caught a glimpse of him, and quickly began to back up the hill. Sadly, not quick enough.

The man quickly pounced on me, afraid that I would attack him. I tried with all my might to get away, but his massive weight held me down. All of a sudden, I felt a terrible pain in my finger and then my hand. I tempted to wiggle my finger, but nothing moved. The man finally got off for a moment to catch his breath, and I took advantage by running up the hill, leaving a trail of blood.

When I got to a spot far away from where the attack happened I stopped to look at my finger. It was submerged in blood and made me want to puke. After examining my gruesome finger, I realized there wasn't a finger there at all.

"I just lost my finger," I said out loud, " crap, what am I supposed to do now? It could get infection and I could die!" I was seriously panicking at that moment.

I considered all of my very limited choices, and I ripped of part of my shirt to use as a bandage. My wish was to find someone who is handy with needle and thread and can fix this.

I went to a small, hidden spot on the hill, where I just had an amputation, and I watched as the man left.

"Guess who has a death wish, buddy," I said to my self. The question of why he exactly he did that, still taunts me to this day. When I felt that it was safe enough to continue that path, I began to look for someone with medical equipment. Astonishing, I found a bunch of people out there, but no one who could help.

I found a big tree that seemed to be easy to climb, but safe. There was a big indention at the top of the tree. I found some leaves, placed them all inside the hole. The branch above me made a perfect door, that blocked out some of the bone-chilling wind.

The next morning, I was startled by how gruesome my finger looked. I felt nauseous for a while, so I decided to just stay seated for a little bit, until I regained my strength. As soon as I felt stable, a arose and began my search once more. While walking, I found my, now blue, amputated finger. I decided to bring it with me, just in case it was able to be reconnected.

My legs were hurting from all the walking I had been doing. That was when a spark of joy ran through me like power lines were running from my head to my feat. I saw a big family with a fairly large camp site. Next to a tent, there was a massive first-aid kit.

I am sorry that this chapter is so short. I will try to make the next one longer. Some times chapters will be shorter than others because I like to stop a chapter with suspense. How long, or short, my chapters are depend on where the suspense falls. Remember:
