Throughly embarrassed, I quickly made my way down the long hall of the office, frantic to get to my office. 'Almost there and it'll be all over like nothing ever happen,' James inwardly growled. Letting out an exasperated sigh, his inner rage went on,' That red hatted jerk just stood there with that damned smirk on his face and then just couldn't stop laughing. I swear the next time I see his sorry..."

Completely lost in his mental rampage, he was startled by the voice straight ahead,

"Hey what's up James? Did Dex try another prank or something?"

James' eyes widen as he attempted a bee line towards his office hoping Aleks would take a hint. He stammered out,

" H-hey Aleks. Oh I'm fine it was just Hordan being his idiotic and down right stupid self again. I-I have lots to do so I'll see you later."

Just as he was about to slip by, Aleks' hand came out right in front of him slamming against the wall blocking his escape.

With a concerned and equally puzzled look on his face, he leaned foward,

"James we've been over this before, just tell me what's up. You know I hate it when something's bothering you and you dont let it go."

With that James was trapped and an inevitable doom was sure to follow.

"Aleksander! I told you I was fine. Now let me through or I'll throw your scrawny a** out the window,"

James huffed, hoping Aleks would for once let it drop but it turns out Aleks was as relentless as ever and stood solidly in place. Leaning even closer, Aleks just stared into his eyes as if searching for answers. 'If I just moved an inch forward I could have a taste of his...James no! Now is definitely not the time especially when...'

James suddenly turned at the tinkle of laughter coming from the opposite direction. Anya came running down the hall squealing in delight, jumping straight into James' arms with Jordan trailing behind with that damn smirk.

"Papa! I'sawry. Bu-u-u....it so funny!" Anya apologized but unable to control her giggling fit.

Smiling down warmly at her he shrugged,

"It was an honest accident darling. Don't you worry bout it, Papa isn't mad."

They had been in the kitchen getting a snack for Anya when Koots had come in and "scared" Anya with a "boo!". Inevitably Anya had jumped spilling her juice all over the back of James' pants. As Jordan had started to laugh uncontrollably, James quickly escaped to check if his office had a change of clothes. Ofcourse, dear Aleksander had to butt in and now he was in the very predicament he had hoped to avoid.

An amused chuckle came from behind James and chimed, "So this is what it was all about. Honestly James you thought you could hide this from me. Peeing your pants looks good on you though. Doesn't it Anya?" Lunging, James made a grab for Aleks but knowing James' very well, Aleks just danced out of his reach.

Heading back to his office Aleks waved behind him nonchalantly, "Don't forget about tomorrow pretty pants." James once again felt his face blaze up and Anya's sweet laughter filled his ears as she mindlessly nodded in agreement with Aleks.

Before Aleks could get too far Anya asked, "Daddy don't forget the s'aberries!"

A couple months earlier James had to attend a convention however didn't have anyone to take care of Anya. About to break it to Jordan, Aleks had stepped in saying he didn't want to go to the convention and would take care of Anya. James had never loved anyone as much as he did then.

Anya absolutely adored Aleks after that. She had babbled to James endlessly for a week about how amazing Alek's house, dog and food were. She had also began to call Aleks, Daddy due to her child logic. She had confidently explained that only "daddies" feed her, play with her, comb her hair, tucked her and loved her like James and now consequently Aleks.

Later James had asked Aleks what it was all about. Aleks' had blushed in response telling him that after singing Anya a lullaby and tucking her in, she had asked for a goodnight kiss. Not wanting her to cry he had done it and before he closed the door he heard Anya whispered,

"I knew it! Only Daddies would kiss my head."

From then on, Aleks' had been promoted to her second dad and in all honestly James wouldn't have it any other way. He also loved Aleks although in a very different way. Aleks had seemed to take over his mind since the first time they had met. It wasn't an instant love but one that grew with every single moment they spent together from then on. Knowing he could trust Aleks' with Anya make him feel safe and not alone like he had for the passed four years raising her.

"Wouldn't dream of it Anya," Aleks replied with a wave and then slipped into his office getting back to work. He was nervous about tomorrow but it would turn out alright, it had too.
