Mishka sprang towards her, sending the little girl tumbling over as she let out a shriek.

Footsteps pounded down the hall as Aleks rounded the corner to witness the scene before him.

Anya giggling, rolled from side to side, on the floor unable to escape the dog's quick pink tongue. Aleks let out a sigh as he shook his head,

'That definitely could've been worse.'

Anya squirmed for a bit more under the Keeshound, before giving in completely and petting Mishka between the ears. Satisfied, Mishka jumped off and wandered away. Finally noticing Aleks, Anya leapt to her feet, straight into his arms. He let out an exaggerated "oof!" as he lifted her into his tattooed arms. Anya brought her hands to her mouth and gasped,

"Did I hurt you Daddy?! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to..."

Aleks smirked, pressing a kiss to her forehead,

"Nah you didn't. Daddy just needs more muscle thats all."

As Anya poked at his bicep, his mind wandered, wondering how an entire year could have gone by. Jumping, he heard a familiar voice mock him,

"Your absolutely right Aleksandr."

James came up behind them with a lopsided grin on his face. Tugging Aleks' hips, he brought them into an embrace. Anya's giggle enveloped them as Aleks whispered,

"James it's hard to believe its been about a year since we've been a family."

Burrowing his into James' neck, James slightly tightened his grip and brought his lips to Aleks' forehead. Seeing this Anya frowned slightly,

"Papa only I give goodnight kisses to Daddy,"

James chuckled as Aleks blushed,

"But Anya its not dark outside yet so they arent goodnight kisses yet."

Anya paused, face contorted as she thought it though. A smile spread on her face as she nodded, turning to analyze the clock on the wall,

"Papa your right it's....ummmm...three, four, five, six....six?"

Squinting at the clock unable to see, James murmured in an incoherent agreement. Aleks' laughed,

"Good job Anya you've seen first hand, your Papa becoming an old man."

James turned his narrowed eyes to Aleks,

"You better watch yourself Aleks. I just needed a minute to count, and also I know the truth. So if you don't want it to get out, I suggest you keep your mouth shut."

Aleks' eyes widened and he frantically looked around to see if any of the other guys were around. Suddenly Aron pooped up right by them and asked,

"So what is this secret?"

Aleks just sighed pulling away from James and walked towards the stairs, lazily threatening,

"James I swear if you tell anyone,"

Inwardly Aleks was in a panic,

'Maybe if I stay calm about it he wont be bothered to tell anyone.'

Aleks made his way down the stairs as Anya began to sing a random song by his ears. He was nearly to the bottom when he let out a groan.

"Aleks found a gray hair, Aleks found a gray hair~"

James sang as he and Aron stood at the top of the stairs. Aron chuckled surprised by the lack of severity the secret held and sassed,

"Really Aleks? I already knew you were an old man."

Aleks just continued down the stairs as Anya chimed in,

"Daddy you're old?"

Reaching the kitchen, Aleks just placed Anya on the countertop and scrambled away as she just giggled at the obviously distressed look on his face.

I just wanna say thank you to all of you reading because y'all are the ones that give me inspiration to write and I don't know what I would do if I didn't have something that motivated me to do one of the things I love the most.

P.s. Turned 18 today and lol what is even an adult? Definitely not me ✌🏽️
