This one should be a shocker. Somewhat. Anyways, I hope you like. :)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Since that dreadful day that no one ever mentioned, I had been at home way too much. And way too alone.

Jacob was hunting Victoria. Victoria was hunting me. I couldn't lose Jacob, not my Jacob, not my personal sun. Not the boy I...loved.

Armed with this new revelation I got into my truck and drove down to La Push.

"Jake! You here? I have to...talk to you!"

"He's not here Bella. he is out hunting the red head. Is there something I can get you?"

"No thanks Billy. I will come back later." There was no way I could tell Billy what I really wanted. I wanted Jacob in my arms. I wanted Jacobs' warm hands pulling me into a too tight hug. I wanted Jacob forever. I zoomed out of the tiny house and down to the beach. I couldn't breathe. Remembering the last time I stood on this beach, just before I had gone cliff diving, I took a step away from the waters' edge. I turned around and was nearly shocked to death by the two brown eyes starring at me.

"Jake! You scared me!" He ran deep into the forest and came back in his human form. "I'm not the only thing you should be scared of."

"Jake don't be ridiculous, I'm not scared of you!"

"We chased her all the way to the Canadian border. We still don't know what she wants, why she keeps coming back."

I frowned, hadn't I already told him? Did I really refrain from giving him this information? Why? Didn't I trust him? Yes I did, so then why didn't I tell him? The answer came to me almost instantly as if it was behind a door that I just unlocked.

I didn't want him to be scared to be around me. I didn't want to lose him. I needed him.

"I know what she is after."

"Huh? Why didn't you tell me? What...who...what?

            "Me."

           Jake started shivering.

"Jake calm down." he didn't. In a split second he changed. Pieces of his clothes flew around and some made it as far as the ocean. But this was just from my peripheral vision. What I was looking at was a huge red/brown wolf who looked as if he were about to charge.

I ran.

I fell.

I died. Or so it seemed. Maybe I was unconscious. Maybe I was blinded. But whatever it was, I knew I wouldn't resurface.
