Chapter 32: Monster

You back away slowly at the realization.

"Eren...?"

"I can explain everything. But right now we need to go. This situation we are in right now could kill you, and you're already too weak." He said touching your wounds every so slightly.

You yanked your arm from him.

Behind Eren, the Jaw Titan was trying to find him.

"You're the Attack Titan." Thunder cracked.

A slight feeling of excitement bubbled inside of you because he was alive, but you quickly cooled that once you realized what he did. All of the devastation of Marley was caused by the man that stood before you. The man you loved.

"Y/n. Please. You have to trust me right now. I can explain everything but we need to go." He was getting anxious. His eyes began to glow. He lied about so many things.

The Jaw Titan finally locked eyes with Eren, and he was heading straight towards both of you. Eren wrapped his arms around you.

One moment you were in Eren's tight embrace, and in the next you were surrounded by the Attack Titan. He made his Titan form a protective wall around you. His hands formed a dome that you were inside as he started running toward the ocean.

You looked between his fingertips to see the Jaw aiming for Eren's hands. He must have realized the way to get Eren to stop would be to take what he's protecting.

Eren started moving his hands to doge the Jaw Titan, making you feel sick.

As he was fighting for your life, things began to click in your head.

He killed my family.

He lied to me about so many things.

He killed so many innocents.

All for what?

He must be from the Island of Devils. It was widely known that they had the Attack Titan.

You were disgusted with yourself. You felt as if you caused all of this.

An evil part of you was happy your abusive family was dead. You were happy that this awful city that hated you became destroyed. For whatever reason, Eren protected you on so many occasions. He does love you. But is love enough to be with a monster?
