Lyra huffed as she sat down on the Gryffindor couch, a drink in her hand, though she didn't much need it as she was already quite drunk. Ravenclaw lost to Gryffindor and her bloody friends forced her to attend the stupid party for Gryffindor. The only positive of the game was Davies handing the mantle of team captain to her for next year. Now though, Davies was in the Ravenclaw dorms crying himself to sleep, according to Stretton who was trying to not sob himself when he talked to Lyra after the game. Lyra however chose to drink her frustration at the game away.

"Oh, how the mighty have fallen," Pucey smirked as he plopped down next to her. He was also definitely drunk, Lyra thought as she frowned at him.

She didn't respond, instead held her cup to her chest with both hands and looked straight up with her eyes closed. She didn't have a good sense of time but after a while Pucey said, "Oi! Tonks, what the bloody hell is wrong with you?"

Lyra opened her eyes, then looked dead at him and said, "I'm praying."

Pucey, who, even drunk, was usually quite composed. Now though his mouth opened and closed as if wondering how to approach such a random statement, "praying? What-"

"I'm praying for either your life to end or for mine. Someone's got to go. I'm hoping it's you though."

The frown was back on Pucey's face but this time someone else stopped him from a rebuttal. "Come on then, Tonks. Don't keep my best friend away from the party with your misery."

Lyra looked up to see Terence's standing over the two of them. "Take him," she gestured to Pucey with her cup. "I was fine alone with my misery. He's the one who came to me-" Lyra paused then looked at Pucey. "Arse."

Pucey rolled his eyes. Terence sat next to his friend, and spoke in a quieter voice to him, something Lyra couldn't discern.

"Oi, tossers!" Lyra called them. "If you're talking about me at least tell it to my face, I am sitting right here aren't I?"

Terence sighed at her but winked at his friend, "I'm off, you two have a good time."

Lyra barely acknowledged Terence's comment and his leaving. She stared blankly at her drink before sparing a glance across the Gryffindor common room.

All of her friends were happy drunk across the room. Fred was snogging his latest broom closet partner in a random corner. Iliana and Katya were sitting on the stairs leading up to the girls dorms, snogging. George and Lee were dancing on top of a table. Mieko was mixing drinks for Charlotte while she flirted with a sixth year Hufflepuff.

Her gaze eventually fell to the boy sitting next to her, who was staring right back at her. She glared at him, "what do you want?"

"Told you I could only talk when I was intoxicated. Well-"

"-here we are, so fucking get to it."

Pucey looked irritated, more so than Lyra had seen before. He growled, "Tonks-"

"I think you should leave, Pucey."

Lyra turned around to see a very calm George standing behind her. She sipped from her half full cup of firewhiskey, looking between the two boys.

"This doesn't concern you, Weasley."

George narrowed his eyes, "let me make it easy for you, Pukey." The redhead put his hand on Lyra's shoulder and she looked up at him. "Lyra, do you want him to keep talking to you?"

Honestly, Lyra didn't care but she would rather talk to George than Adrian so she said exactly that. Pucey didn't say anything, simply glared at the two of them and rose from his seat to find Terence.
