I saw Sasha's blue hummer speeding down the road to come and pick me up. I texted my mom and told her my car wouldn't start, and she said she sent a truck to come and pick my car up to fix. Sasha came out of her car, her short extremely curly hair on her shoulders, and she threw her hobo bag over her shoulder. "Hey get in the car!" She hugged me and we drove to the mall. We walked through the door and saw Tate. We used to date, but he cheated on me with the head highschool cheerleader. Her name was Kamdra, she went by Kam. He cheated on my my senior year, we only dated for 2 years. Nothing really happened between us, we barely even kissed ; he was really boring. We went to Urban Outfitters, I picked up a cute hat and Sasha the same. We strolled through the mall and stopped in our tracks. Gill Travis. THE Gill. He was already a senior in collage, every girl loved Gill. "Hey Gill!" Sasha waved. He nodded and smiled and kept walking. Sasha was so confident, I wish I was like her.
*2 hours later*
Four o'clock came before I knew it. When Sasha dropped me off at my house my mom met me outside with a worried look. "We need to talk Jessi." She scurried in, my arm in her grasp. We sat down and she crossed her hands ; sighing and closing her tired eyes. "Your Dad, her called again." I rolled my eyes
"Mom really it's fine-". She cut me short "He's coming for dinner, tomorrow. I want you to stay in your room." My dad was a drunk. They divorced when I was 15. I'm 19 now, 20 in September. "Mom I need to talk to him! You can't keep hiding me from my father. I know he was awful to us. He hit you and told me I was trash! But he lives in New York! That's 13 hours away! 13 Mom!" I shouted. She nodded in agreement. "Jessi, we go through this every year, I don't know how he is going to act. I don't know if he's drinking still. I just don't know. I'm trying to keep you safe darling. I know your moving soon, I just want to keep you secure..." Tears ran down her contoured cheeks, I hugged her tight. "Everything will work out." I grabbed her arm and hugged her tighter. My phone rang and I kissed her forehead. I went up to my room and answered on the fourth ring. "Jessi, look out your window." She half screamed. I opened up my shutters and saw the fight of my life. Tate and....Zayn? In the middle of MY street? What? "Sasha why are they fighting?" I sprinted down the stairs to get a better view. She hung up and I decided to take matters into my own hands. I made it down the street and yelled for Sasha to come over. "What the hell is going on?" She pointed at Zayn, "He apparently tried to take Kamdra from Tate." I laughed at the stupidity of this. "When? I just saw Zayn a couple hours ago." Sasha smirked and shook my arm, "Where? He is gorgeous." I sighed "I just got a job at the coffee shop he manages." She squealed so loud Zayn turned around, his dark eyes met mine. They softened as he crookedly smiled, taking another blow from Tate. "Alright that's enough." A large tall curly headed boy said. His hair was to his shoulders, he wore black boots and jeans. A Rolling Stones shirt and black trench coat, you could see his breathe from the could air. "Yes please stop, like Harry said." Sasha nodded. She's such a flirt. The fight stopped and Zayn came up to me, his shirt in his blood stained hands. "Sorry you had to see this before your first day at work." He nervously laughed and crossed his arms. "Why were you fighting?" I asked seriously. "Tate and his crazy girlfriend went buckwild when I gave Kamdra her latte with a heart on it. A heart. I thought she was cute so I just put it on there I don't know. He flipped shit and tried fighting me in the shop! He told me to fight him in front of his place, so I followed his car out her after my shift ended. I thought it was stupid but why not. Anyways, why are you out here?" I laughed and flipped my long hair, "I live right over there." I gestured to my house across the road. "Oh. Sorry about the commotion." He laughed with me. "Okay. I guess I'll see you tomorrow." He walked away as the sun set below the trees. My heart fluttered but I didn't know why. What I actually liking a bad boy?
