I ran to Sasha's attention, "Are you okay, Sash?" She didn't reply. He mouth was slightly apart and her usually tan face was stone cold. "Harry, call 911!" I shouted, shaking Sasha in the process. "Tate, help me lift her on the sofa." He nodded, grabbed her feet and helped me lift her limp body into the cushions.
Minutes later the police and ambulance arrived. The second time in 2 weeks. Wow. I lead them in and they immediately rushed Sasha to the back of the ambulance and hooked her up to some breathing system. "Is she going to be okay?" Kamdra asked.
"I'm sorry, but I think the chances are slim to none." The EMT said.
Kam frowned and walked back inside the house, shutting the door. "I don't think she's gonna make it, guys." Tears welled up in her eyes, "I just asked."
My face dropped, my head started to spin as the whole room went black.
"Jessi, come on baby wake up." Harry's familiar voice woke me. My eyes parted as I looked up at my ceiling, head pounding.
"Shit, not again." I sighed, sitting up and groaning. "I took my medicine, why does this keep happening?"
"Jessi you're really stressed, I think that's why." Harry said. I nodded and grabbed his hand,
"Thanks for being here." I said, noticing everyone else had left. "What time is it?"
"It's 7 in the morning, you slept through the night and everyone left." He laughed.
"How's Sasha?" I asked, probably already knowing the answer. He stared at me and shook his head,
"I don't think..."
"Yeah..." I sighed. "I have so much to do, I should really go see her." I stood and went to take my medicine. Swigging back the pills, I slipped into a new hoodie and tied my hair into a messy, loose braid. "I'm going to the hospital, are you coming with me?" I questioned. He nodded in reply, grabbing me by the waist.
"Do you want to go on vacation this weekend? My cousins have a place by the ocean, about 4 hours South of here. We could go for a couple days, have some alone time. Maybe get rid of some of this stress?" He mumbled into my neck.
"Oh my god, that sounds nice. Yeah, I'll go." I smiled and kissed him softly. "Let's go." We got in the car, and left.
Sasha looked absolutely terrible. Her hair was a reck, face white, her shoulder covered in gauze ; a slight red seeping through. The doctors said the bullet stuck in her bone, causing the bone to stab through her heart. She died as soon as they arrived at the hospital. I couldn't stop crying. My mascara ran down my face and down my neck. 2 people, 2 days apart. My dad's in jail. Wow, love life.
Friday couldn't come soon enough, after my shift at work I drove home to pack for the trip Harry and I were taking. I was actually really excited to have some alone one with Harry. I packed my everything I would essentially need for the trip. I showered, blow-dried my hair and put it in some tight braids to be wavy in the morning. Harry should be coming over soon ; he didn't want to waste gas coming to pick me up and take us to the resort.
Harry arrived and we both agreed we needed to get some rest, since we had a long day ahead. We went to my bed, already loading our luggage into the back of his car so we wouldn't have to rush in the morning. I cuddled into his bare chest, tracing his tattoos.
"What is this for, it's pretty." I laughed, running my fingers along his butterfly on his abs.
"It's like saying "butterflies" in my stomach." He laughed. "Like what you give me."
He was so cheesy!
I smiled and traced my fingers over his dark pink lips, observing his face. He was really beautiful, he really was. His long chestnut curls set his emerald eyes. "You have really nice eyes." I chirped.
"You're really beautiful." He sighed. He kissed my neck and ran his hand down my hip. "Goodnight babe." He clicked off the lamp and turned over.
