My eyes opened in the resort bedroom, Harry was above me once again "You're up thank God", he said worriedly. Lifting my head up, I took the cold cloth on my forehead away and placed it on the wooden night stand next to me. "Let me guess, I passed out because if this stupid condition and I need to take my medicine." I sighed and went to grab the bottle.
"You guessed it." He laughed. "You scared me half to death. You know how weird it looked carrying you around the resort to get here as fast as I can? I said you fell asleep in the sun." He laughed slapping his knee. I laughed along and checked my phone. No updates, so I'm good. "Do you want to go get something to eat, Jessi?" He asked getting up from the bed.
"Yeah that would be nice. Where are we going?"
"Somewhere casual. Burgers I guess." He said. I nodded and went to my suitcase to get my outfit. I laid out some high waisted shirts and a tribal print crop top.
"This casual enough?" I said, motioning towards my clothes on the comforter. He nodded and kissed my head,
"Just tell me when you're ready, I'll be on the balcony", he said walking off. I closed the door and took off my now dry swim suit, and slipped on my super cute outfit. Pairing it with some brown beaded sandals, I let my hair down and ran some dry shampoo through it. I planned on showering when I got home anyways. Doing simple makeup and spraying Harry's favorite perfume on, I walked out the door and onto the balcony. "I'm ready babe." I said, patting him on the shoulder.
"You look beautiful." He explained, kissing my lips softly. I grabbed his hand and we walked out the door.
Down town was amazing! There were stores all down the streets, and so many restaurants we couldn't decide on one too quick. We eventually picked a burger place, like planned.
Dinner was really good, and Harry bought me dessert. What a sweetie! Dusk came sooner than planned, but tons of people were still out, so we went to go walk around some more. "I really like it here." Harry said, glancing up at the sky. I smiled and grabbed his hand.
"I do too. It feels so good not to be working right now." I sighed. I looked at his face and it was in a frown. "What now?" I groaned."We need to talk about your job, back at home. I think you should quit." He said. My mouth dropped from the shock of his words.
"Harry, I am not quitting my job. I need the money and you know how much I love coffee." I laughed, trying to lighten the mood a little. He sighed and stopped in the middle of the sidewalk,
"Jessi. When you were asleep, Zayn called you. I didn't pick up, but he needs to leave you alone. I think if you quit, he wouldn't bother you and there wouldn't be a problem. I can get you a job near me! We can work close, grab lunch together." He drifted off. I groaned and stomped my foot,
"Harry it took my forever to find that job. Stop worrying so much, nothing is happening between Zayn and I."
"Well it did. Don't forget that." He let go of my hand, "Because I know I won't."
We walked back to our room, without speaking. I was really pissed off that he said that to me. I went to the bed and plopped down, scrolling through my phone. Harry walked in, and sat next me "Hey." He causally said. I groaned and turned my back to him. "Jessi why won't you say anything?"
"Are you fucking kidding me? Harry, you asked me to quit my job for you and-"
"It's for you! You do not need to be around Zayn! Jesus Christ Jessi can you get that through your head?" He shouted, cutting me off.
"Listen to me." I said, getting in his face. "I need this damn job. And for you to throw in my face that I needed to quit because I messed up one time with him, that is low. Once! I told you it wouldn't happen again. Why can't you just drop it?" My face was dangerously close to him, my heart racing with rage.
"I can't drop it because I can't get it out of my head! You did it at work! In the storage room!" He scoffed, backing away from me.
"Harry, you just had sex with me on the freaking beach. At least Zayn was man enough to give us some privacy! And not worry about "making people know that I'm his" or that shit you're obsessed with. I'm not a doll you can just drag around and expect me to follow every little rule you have."
He looked at me with a locked jaw, gritting his teeth, narrowing his green eyes and staring right into my blue ones. "What the fuck are you saying, "Man enough". Zayn isn't half the guy I am. I respect you, dammit! Zayn used you Jessi! Do you not understand that! He didn't love you! He doesn't think you're beautiful! He wants to get in your pants." He yelled, pointing at my crossed legs. Tears welled up in my eyes. I knew Zayn used me, but he was so fascinating. His wild tattoos and his mysterious look. I hate to admit it, but sometimes I would watch him smoke his cigarette on his break. The way his lips parted and the smoke released. Something about him, was so infatuating I couldn't get over it. Harry, I really did like him. He was compassionate and sweet. He just doesn't give me the same thrill Zayn gives me when I'm with him. Maybe it will come with time - I can't say.
"Harry, I think it's best if you sleep on the couch tonight." I stated. I wiped my tears away, and headed to the bathroom to shower.
"Jessi, come on. I can't sleep well when you're not next to me." He sighed, walking behind me.
"Honestly, I really don't care. The things you just said to me...hurt. I think you should leave me alone right now." I turned and closed the door in his face. I just needed to think and relax. Before I knew it, he pushed through the door before I could lock it. Grabbing my waist and and turning me to face him. "Harry get out, I'm need to shower."
"Not without me you're not."
