Hiya everyone! New chapter up! Hope you enjoy! This is a long one!

Written by Snowy (And slightly Library Turtle)

Upon hearing the whispers that a new quest was being initiated, especially one that involved the two new demi-gods she had recently brought to camp, Chi found it increasingly difficult to contain her curiosity. Usually, such new recruits hardly ever got sent out on quests. It came to a point where she couldn't help but sneak up behind a tree and eavesdrop.

Head counsellors, Dionysus, Chiron and the two were gathered around, the counsellors arriving in dribs and drabs. Before anyone began to speak, Chi quickly tried to see if she could distinguish the counsellors.

Falla from Hermes (she would have a hard time forgetting that face), Nevaeh from Aphrodite (she was the only one who's white sneakers were still white after trudging around camp all day), Hoshi from Athena (Accalia's roommate, and the only other Athenian in current times), Aelina from Hephaestus (main concept artist for machinery who was either very nice or incredibly rude with no in betweens - Chi enjoyed her company), Yareli from Poseidon (rather charming girl who people jokingly theorised that she was a mermaid due to her looks and father), Aello from Zeus (A rebel who loved to practice fighting and enjoyed competition. She was a little intense for Chi but nice all the same. She had a temper worthy of her father.)

Chi shook her head vigorously, forcing herself to focus as Chiron began. She cursed herself as even her greater-than-human goat senses failed to give her more than just snippets of the conversation. She knew she should have risked it and gone for a tree closer.

He was mid-sentence when Chi realised that she wasn't going to remember everything. Panicky, she kicked off a slab of molding bark from the trunk of the tree and began messily scrawling notes with a sharp twig.

'Prophecy

Two half-bloods will (?) be found.

Here to kill a Cyclops bound,'

She missed an entire sentence here.

'They shall find an ally to help them through

And aid this new coming war.

That shall be a danger to all,'

(Author's note: The prophecy with mistakes because Chi is just shaky and such because she is our sweet girl and tbh none of us would remember our prophecies)

She dropped her make-shift pencil. That sounded scary. Desperate to find where she might have gone wrong and made it sound a lot more horrible than it was, Chi switched out words to and fro, but she was certain that it was about a cyclops, and unfortunately not just pork chops. She was only half-desensitized by it, and she had spent her life at camp. With a jolt, she felt a wave of pity for the girls: they were so new to this world.

Gently placing down her chunk of bark, she leaned back in to spy some more.

"How are some newbies going to be able to fight this on their own? It's unrealistic, they've had little to no training!" Falla spluttered, after years of being undetermined they had allowed her to join meetings because of her skill.

"The prophecy did specify that these half-bloods will be found, so it suggests that they're relatively new to camp. Plus, we've had little to no new recruits," Hoshi reasoned meaningfully.

She silently cheered Athena's counsellor on in her head, despite the nagging worry about what might become of her new friends on their quest.

"You both have good points," Yareli sighed, her brows knitted together as she delved deeper in her own thoughts, "Perhaps we can come to a negotiation?"
