'You seem in a bit of a bad mood. Maybe it's best that I caught you in case your mood got any worse and you started tearing Starbucks apart'

In just those light two seconds, I noticed a few things. One. He spoke with a soft, voice as if he was scared his words would burst out his mouth and harm anybody in their path. Two. He had the most amazing irish accent that you could hear faintly at the end of each sentence. Three. His laugh was that followed his slightly insulting sentence was so infectious that even though i'd be ditched by my two best friends, and I was in the worst mood ever, he still made a slight chuckle fall off my lips.

'There you go.' He smiled at me. I smiled back and stared down at my feet. He was so beautiful, and he was talking to me as if we'd known each other for months, maybe years. His friendly approach made it difficult for me to hold back an introduction.

'My name's Bea.' I spat at him, shooting my head up to face his beautiful blue eyes once again. My enthusiasm made him laugh. I almost saw the happiness fill his whole face as his smile widened.

'Niall.' He stuck out a hand and with my free hand, I shook it slowly.

'You..want to sit down?' Niall muttered, gesturing at two spare seats near the window.

'Sure.' I walked ahead and placed myself on the warm leather. I took an icy sip of my drink before placing it on the table.

'Shit, I forgot to get my drink.' Niall jumped up, and smiled at me.

'Stay here? I need some company. And from the looks of it you do too.' He peered round the shop, clearly seeing that I was there alone. I nodded and took another sip of my drink. Niall turned around and headed for the counter. Whilst his back was turned; I smiled to myself. The way Niall's eyes shone when he smiled, and the way he walked, I might add was extremely hot. Suddenly, he turned back around and my cheeks flushed a bright pink. I could tell from the way they burned.

Niall came to sit down opposite me and set his hot chocolate down on the table. He edged closer.

'I saw you checking me out.' He whispered, his soft voice now changing to a raspy one.

My eyebrows widened as I tried to think of something to say, eager to save myself from embarrassment.

'You wish' I uttered, pathetically. Niall just grinned; all his innocence suddenly disappearing. Niall sat back and brought the hot chocolate to his lips. We sat for a bit, in silence drinking our drinks until a horrible feeling came over me.

'I'm just going to..' I hopped up and wandered towards the toilets.

I came back a few minutes later, to see Niall with a grin plastered on his face.

'Uhm..' I sat down, slowly, not taking my eyes off the blonde irish boy that trapped my gaze.

'You really shouldn't flirt with boys, you don't know. Your boyfriend seems rather quite protective' He said, smugly.

'How did you..'

Niall brought something silver from his pocket and handed it over. My phone.

'I grabbed it when I caught you'

I brought my eyebrows together in anger.

'Why the fuck would you even do that?! Are you physcopath or something?!' I stood up to leave, but I felt a warm hand grab my hand. I blinked up at him, confusion falling on to my face.

'Do you like him?' Niall looked up at me, a serious look on his beautiful, pale face.

'Who? What?'

'Declan. Your boyfriend, i'm guessing as he sent you the wink face. And kisses.' He let go of my hand after pulling me back down to the chair. I gave him a horrified look.

'Are you kidding? You think i'm going to tell you about who i'm dating after you stole my phone?!'

'I'm guessing that's a no.'

'You're a fucking freak.' I stormed out the shop, but I heard footsteps and his soft voice behind me. If I waited at the bus stop for the bus then he was sure to catch up so instead I turned round the corner and entered a dark alley. Bad move. The end of the alley was just a large brick wall. Like in a horror movie. I slid up against the cold brick and pushed my back up against the wall as if I could move right through it.

'Now you made this awkward.' I heard Niall's voice heading towards me. Instead of coming right up to me, he stood a far distance away and smiled.

'I'm not a freak, Bea. You're pretty but I had no idea who you were.''

'So you stole my phone?!'

'You got it back!' He said it in a protesting way, making him slightly more attractive. Then he suddenly tilted his head to the side and smiled at me.

'Bea, you're beautiful. Does Declan ever tell you that?' Niall gave me a comforting smile and stepped forward a bit.

I thought back to the first time me and Declan met. His tall muscly figure stood above me. I stared up at his deep brown eyes as he bragged about all his weight lifting activities. Our dads spoke together and it was actually Declan's oh-so-fantastic father that suggested we spent more time together. However, whenever Declan asked me out on a date, it either included watching a football game at the pub where Declan got horrible drunk and violent, or visiting his mates' houses with their slaggy girlfriends. Their skirts showing more of their body than legally acceptable.

I looked down at my feet. Niall knew what that meant.

'Well you are.'

Niall stepped forward and reached out for my hand. I snatched it back. I didn't trust him. He was a stranger. He may have saved me from falling flat on my arse, but I didn't know more than his first name. Maybe it was the fact that there was nowhere to run, or maybe I felt intimidated by the fact that I was cornered. Either way, I had no idea why I felt safe when I looked into his beautiful blue eyes.
