We stepped through the black curtain together, just as loud adverts started up and filled the room with noise. There were people sat it all the seats and we had to push past many angry people before we finally got to our seats. I sat back in the soft material and stared up at the large screen. An advert flickered on the screen and my eyes squinted as the bright light illuminated the theatre.

After a few more minutes, the movie started playing.

We walked out the theatre, our eyes drooping.

'Why was that movie so long?' I muttered, bringing a fist up to my eyes.

'How am I supposed to know? The website only said it was just over two hours'

'Did it say, how long over two hours? It's almost half two in the morning!' I said whipping my phone in and out of my bag as it blinded my sore, tired eyes.

'You sleepy?' Niall smiled at me, his braces glistening on his teeth.

'No, i'm okay. Just a bit..bit..tired..' I said yawning. I clamped my hand over my mouth, only just realising how unattractive I looked when I yawned. 'I'm just going to wake myself up.' I stumbled over to the restroom doors and burst through them. I stood in front of the mirror, both hands resting either side of the sink.

'That wasn't too bad.' I said to myself. 'No funny business.' I gave myself a reassuring smile. I ran the cold water and caught it in my hands before splashing it over my face. Luckily, I didn't wear any mascara. I dried my face with a paper towel before exiting the restroom. I was about to walk over to Niall when suddenly my heart dropped.

It was Declan. He was standing with his friends as the flirted drunkily with a cinema attendant with bleach blonde hair and false eyelashes.

'Niall.' I hissed. I searched the cinema before I spotted him leaning against the wall.

'Niall!' I hissed again, louder this time. His arched body lifted away from the wall and looked around. When he spotted me, a smile appeared on his face. But my face was anything but smiley.

'It's Declan!' Niall's face fell and he carefully stepped over to me. He turned his back to Declan and his friends and covered me with his body and I stayed against the wall next to the woman's restooms.

'We have to leave before he sees us!' I whimpered, biting my lip. Niall gave me a quick grin before grabbing my wrist and pulling me in the opposite direction of Declan and his friends. We stepped towards the screen we were just in, but Niall pulled me away, through a door just around the corner from the screens. I'd never noticed this door before. Mainly because I never came to the cinema except for very special premieres. But also because it was hidden behind a long curtain that in with the walls. We stopped, breathless outside the small metal door. We were outside, the cold wind biting at my arms and legs again. My teeth chattered. Niall drew his jacket off before I could draw in a breathe and within seconds, his fluffy jumper hung on my shoulders, sheltering my arms from the cold.

'Thanks..' I mumbled. Niall smiled.

'Bea, can I ask you something?' This time, it was Niall that bit his lip. I stared at him, studying his face.

'Sure..' I mumbled.

Niall came closer and put his hands on my waist.

'Why were you scared?' He whispered. I looked down.

'I don't know you, Niall.'

'You knew me enough to give me your phone number.'

I looked up at Niall, his bright blue eyes, yet again distracting me. I managed a laugh.

'I guess I did. I don't know why I did..there's just something about you..' I closed my eyes. What was I saying? The more I told him, the more i'd fall in love with him. But before I could fix the suituation, I felt warm lips on mine. When I kissed him back, I felt his mouth slowly arch into a smile. He pulled away, still smiling.

'Thank you.' He whispered. I nodded, not knowing what to say. I guess I didn't need to end the conversation. Niall ended it for me.

'Let's get you home?' Niall rubbed my arms in an attempt to make me warmer, before leading me round the front side of the cinema towards the car park.
