On the next day, I showed up at Tendo's house. I knew that it was weird but I wanted to spend time with this boy. When I rang the bell, the still sleepy boy opened. "Do you want to skate?", I asked and I saw a short glimpse of happiness in his eyes which I took as a yes. "Change into something comfortable and put these on", I said handing him my old skates. They had four rolls with each eight-centimetre rolls. They probably were a bit too big for a starter but I was sure he would be able to skate with them. I was glad that there finally was someone who wasn't better than me.

What do I do? I haven't skated with that small rolls for years. My rolls had a diameter of 10 centimetres but it wouldn't be that much of a difference, right?
I just shrugged it off and put on my basic skating outfit and a helmet instead of my usual red beanie. I never tripped so I didn't need one but he would tell me to skate with it anyway. I hesitated at my socks. Should I use normal ones or my skating socks? I hated skating without them and he wouldn't notice so I put them on. I did wear the protectors though. I just felt safer with them.
I quickly put on the other skates as well and opened the door again. He was patiently waiting and somehow surprised that I could stand on the skates without falling. I bend down a bit so I was standing in a safer position. It was how my parents told me to stand when I was 8. That was when I started skating. Since then, I've been doing it non-stop.
