Mina's POV
After the bell rang Sana ran towards the exit of the cafeteria. Chaeyoung and I look at each other knowingly. Sana is known to be a ball of sunshine but seeing her eyes as she told us a brief story about her and Nayeon's past still hurts her. We'd run after her, but knowing Sana... she would like to be alone right now. "Should we go to our classes now?" Chaeyoung asked, and I answered with a small smile and a nod.
I fixed my things and stood up. "Can I take you to your class?" I heard a familiar voice which made me smile internally. I looked up to the owner of the voice who was looking at me intensely then nodded. Jihyo and Jeongyeon chuckled at Nayeon who looked at them with an eyebrow raised.
"Why?" Nayeon asked curiously. "We should..." Jihyo started with a smirk, "I mean I should go ahead, I think I have to do something at the council?" She waved at Jeongyeon giving her a look then head to the exit of the cafeteria. Suddenly Jeongyeon smirked and said, "I'm going with Chaeyoung"
"Let me walk you to your class?" Jeongyeon asked, Chaeyoung looked at me with wide eyes and I chuckled. I have no idea what's happening but I feel like Chaeyoung is internally freaking out because she's going to walk with Jeongyeon to class. Her face was red as a tomato as I grinned at her. I looked at Jeongyeon and said "Chaeyoung would love that, Jeongyeon-unnie"
"I- I.. yeah.." Chaeyoung stood up and walked away with Jeongyeon. "I guess It's just you and me huh?" I looked at Nayeon and she smiled at me. "You look beautiful when you smile unnie. you should do that more" I chuckled as she grinned. "Shhh! I'll only smile for you then. If the people find out I'm a softie, I'll blame you" She whispered and I laughed silently.
Nayeon and I walked to class. You know those silent yet comfortable atmosphere? Yeah, Im Nayeon makes me feel that. Always. People from our left and right are looking at us which made me shy since I don't like having too much attention. I started to look at the floor. "Don't mind them Mina-ssi" I looked at Nayeon and smiled. "I'm just not used to this... I think they're silently judging as to why I'm walking with THE Im Nayeon" I chuckled and Nayeon frowned.
It's true though. Why would me, a nobody, walk with THE Im Nayeon? The person half of the campus wants? Nayeon is popular and I'm just me. She's good at everything! She's a player, a performer, her grades are never below B. She's a beauty with brawns AND brains. I guess I just couldn't forget what Nayeon's 'fan' said to me a month ago.
'You should stay away from her. You're no one.'
As we reach my class, Nayeon stopped and I looked at her curiously. "Don't let them get to you ok? I don't care what they think. All I care about is... well... you." Nayeon barely whispered as she looked at the floor. what? "You're THE Myoui Mina for me. If I'm good at sports, you're great academically, you have a great voice, you are the greatest dancer!" She smiled which made me smile too. "And here I thought you're the cold-hearted bitch everyone was afraid of since you set foot here," someone said which made Nayeon chuckled.
"Only a softie for this Junior I suppose." She added, Nayeon and I chuckled lightly. It's true, Nayeon is mean to anyone but me.
"Lisa, what are you doing here?" Nayeon asked a she slowly turned back to the 'cold-hearted bitch' everyone was referring to.
"Well, I was looking for Jennie but heard a sap Im Nayeon instead" She smirked. Nayeon and Lisa are friends since they are both on the Female's basketball team. Nayeon was about to speak when someone suddenly bumps into me hard which caused me to lose my balance. Nayeon instinctively placed her hand towards my waist and pulled me towards her fast to anchor me back on my feet while the person fell on his butt. "Ah shit, I'm sorry!"
