About 15 minutes later, (Y/n) and Daichi walked back into the gym. They didn't seem mad but there was a dark aura surrounding them as the walked towards the four boys.
The two of them explained that the vice principal didn't even want an apology, but everyone that had seen his bald head was sworn to secrecy.
Kageyama and Hinata glared at each other. They started bickering again as Daichi and (Y/n) glared in annoyance at each other, then back at the two boys. "LISTEN UP!"
The captain and coach began lecturing the boys, explaining that the reason the two third years even began going to Karasuno was because of the nationals match they had watched together in middle school.
"They call this team the wingless crows. We want to go to nationals again, like the previous team did years ago." Daichi explained as everyone else nodded
Kageyama rolled his eyes. "Many high school teams talk about going to nationals. That doesn't mean they ever make it." He said, Tanaka scowling at him.
(Y/n)'s state could burn holes in the first year boys forehead. "Of course they do. However, We're dead serious."
Daichi and (Y/n) went on to explain that until Kageyama and Hinata learned how to get along on the same team, they were banned from club activities.
With that, the captain kicked the two first years out of the gym and slammed the door shut. (Y/n) laughed as she heard screaming from the other side of the gym doors.
Practice went on as usual. Kiyoko, Shimizu, the team manager, showed up about ten minutes into practice and sat down next to (Y/n) on the bench while Tanaka fawned over the girl from a distance.
The sun had gone down when the team decided to clean up all the equipment and head home. (Y/n) was pushing the ball cart towards the storage room when something Tanaka said caught her attention.
"You know what I bet those two are thinking right now? That if they can beat us then they'll make the team." (Y/n) couldn't help but laugh. "Probably, but all they half to do is calm their asses down and show that they can work together without arguing every two minutes.
Suddenly, a shout could be heard from outside. "CAPTAIN!" Daichi opened the gym doors, Suga, Tanaka, and (Y/n) standing behind him. "WE CHALLENGE YOU TO A MATCH!"
Tanaka and (Y/n) began laughing. "Guys! I'm psychic!" The second year exclaimed. "How many times did you practice that so you said it at the same time?" (Y/n) laughed.
"If we win you have to let us on the team!" Hinata explained, Kageyama nodding. "We want to prove that we finally understand how to play together as teammates." They said at the same time once again.
By now, Tanaka was practically on the floor laughing, and (Y/n) was wiping tears from her eyes. However, Daichi seemed un phased. "And if you lose?" He asked the two first years.
"Then you and.. Coach? Get to choose the penalty." Kageyama explained. (Y/n) stopped laughing when she heard the word 'Coach' and went to stand next to Daichi.
"Here's an idea." Daichi said, "There are two other first year club applicants that will be joining the team later. You will go up against them in a three-on-three match."
(Y/n) beamed. "We do this match every year! It's a way to get a good look at the new players we'll be working with."
"But, who will be our third player?" Hinata asked, to which (Y/n) stepped forward. "I wi-" "Tanaka." Daichi said, cutting her off.
"WHAT?!" (Y/n) and Tanaka yelled. "Why me? (Y/n) wants to do it!" Tanaka exclaimed, pointing at the girl, who nodded aggressively.
"(Y/n) messed up her shoulder last season remember? She isn't allowed to play, only coach." (Y/n) groaned, knowing there was absolutely no way she'd be able to play. "Besides," Daichi said, "They need a good upperclassman to keep them in line."
