The two of them took turns doing the drill for the next half an hour, until Suga suggested that they started cleaning up any evidence that they had been in the gym before the regularly scheduled practice.
A twinge of pain shot through (Y/n)'s shoulder every once in a while, mostly when she was carrying things like the poles for the nets. It wasn't major, but she couldn't help but cringe at the feeling.
Within 15 minutes the net and poles had been put away as well as the ball cart. The five students laid on the gym floor, enjoying the cool sensation they got from it.
"Hey (Y/n)?" Hinata asked suddenly, catching the attention of not only (Y/n) but the three other boys in the gym.
"Yes Hinata?" (Y/n) said, just barely lifting her head to look at the orange haired boy. "You said you can't play volleyball very often right? What happened?" He asked, tilting his head slightly to the side.
Meanwhile, a couple feet away, Kageyama groaned. "You can't just ask someone how they got hurt dumbass. It's rude." The boy said as he continued to stare at the ceiling.
However, Kageyama also seemed interested to hear how the girl had gone from playing volleyball, to filling in as a coach instead, though he contained his emotions better than his classmate.
"Well, it's not that interesting of a story, since I just fucked up my shoulder." (Y/n) said, letting out an awkward laugh.
Suga laughed. "We cleaned up early (Y/n), we might as well pass time before we kick these two out." He said, pointing at the two first years.
Tanaka was sitting up now too, seemingly eager to hear the story of how (Y/n) developed her shoulder issues.
"You two just want to laugh at my story again." (Y/n) scolded Tanaka and Suga, making both of them laugh. "It's not our fault that it's a funny story!" Tanaka exclaimed.
(Y/n) shot a glare at the boy, making is smile falter. "You don't have to tell the story (Y/n), I'm sorry if i sounded rude." Hinata said, frowning slightly.
Sighing, (Y/n) shook her head. "Suga's right. There's time to kill so I might as well share my "hilarious" injury story." The girl said, smiling slightly.
"When I was in Junior High," (Y/n) began, Hinata's eyes lighting up. "Daichi and I would hang out at the park all the time. We would take his younger siblings there and watch them while we hung out on the swings."
By now, Kageyama had was sitting up as well. "What does any of this have to do with your volleyball injury?" The boy interrupted.
"Who said the beginning of my shoulder problems started because of volleyball?" (Y/n) asked, "Unlike you, I don't eat, sleep, and breathe volleyball. Now let me tell my story!"
The girls comment made Hinata laugh, but he quickly stopped when Kageyama glared at him. "Anyways!" (Y/n) exclaimed, looking at the two first years.
"One time when we went to this park, Daichi and I were watching his little siblings while we were on the swings and I noticed that one of his brothers, who was still quite little at the time, was trying to eat sand."
Tanaka elbowed Kageyama. "This is where it starts getting good." He whispered to the first year, before he was suddenly smacked in the head. He looked up to see the third year girl standing next to him
"Stop interrupting me! I'm monologuing my trauma and you're being very rude!" (Y/n) said sitting back down.
"ANYWAYS! At this point Daichi and I were swinging pretty high when I saw his brother eating sand, so I kinda dragged my feet to slow me down, and I planned on jumping off" (Y/n) continued, putting her feet out in front of her to demonstrate.
