The ticket between my fingers is crisp and light.. I booked the soonest available train possible with few clothes in my bag for the unknown number of days God still spares me.
I check my watch. I've been here an hour early in my attempt to avoid the crowd..
Since I found out, I realize I can't waste any minute like before.. Not a second more..
Yeah..
Gone are my days of heavy workload and deadly late working hours..
***
"Aish! Wait! Wait!"
I'm running crazily to run after my reserved schedule! I was dead tired drunk last night from the party that I almost forgot that the train will leave in an hour..
"Ex-Excuse me.. Excuse.. I'm in a hurry.. Excuse.."
With this sea of people not helping my dumb ass..
"Argh!! Make some way!!"
And for a hundred of times around..
"I'M NOT DRINKING EVER AGAIN!"
***
Not much passenger today, and quite a relief for my wandering heart. I walk ahead passing by few elderly, kids and adults.. They don't have much stuff so I guess, they will just be around my en route.
Well.. In my case, I'll be on the last stop.
On my probably last ride.
***
"Touchdown!"
I got in! Barely.
But I made it!
An inch of hair before it totally closed..
Hahah!!
I'm internally celebrating when I realize.. Something is.. I slowly look at my back and..
"A-Ah.. Uhm.. Sorry.. Sorry for my disturbance.."
Damn my etiquette!
I scratch my head feeling embarrassed when I notice a pair of chocolate brown eyes were darted on me..
"It's fine.. Yeah.. You did it."
He gives me a soft giggle..
But it's not just his voice and adorable chuckle makes my heart fly all over the moon..
It's the dimples.
***
I get shy when the boy in his disheveled hair stares at me..
Am I offending him?
"Ohh.. I'm sorry.. I'm not making fun of you.."
He shakes his head that seems he's the one apologetic..
"No.. No.. I'm not offended.. Am I.. Staring too much? I tend to do it.."
"It's not too much, I'm just..."
"But, is it okay if I tell you your dimples are mesmerizing but you're gorgeous yourself."
***
Eh..
EH!!??
I sounded like a creep!
Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!
What the heck did I say?!
And the stretching silence is never helping!
HELP!!
***
*Pssssshhhhh..
Not long after the rumbling noise from afar, changing the red light into green, with the recorded announcement echoing.. Everyone on their seats settled as the commotion of the engine gets faster and louder earning its acceleration..
This is now the beginning, of a journey.
