Bruce's POV

I sat in the front of Gotham Academy waiting for Tim and Damian to be let out of school , thinking of what had happened in the office earlier today.

FLASHBACK (Normal POV)

"Lucius, I can't go to Europe this weekend! Alfred is off visiting family for a week and who knows what would happen if I left Tim and Damian alone together." Bruce sighed, Lucius Fox standing in front of me.

"Bruce, I'm sorry. If this was any other scenario I would go myself, but Zen Tech. (made them up) refuses to sign on the deal without meeting with you directly. You know as well as I do how much this deal means to the company." Lucius tried to persuade me.

"I know Lucius, but can't we postpone this until next week. Alfred will be back, Tim and Damian won't kill each other, and I can go and speak with them then." Bruce pleaded desperately.

"They said that if they don't meet with you this weekend then the deal is off. Bruce I know your worried about what will happen if you leave your boys alone, but we don't have a choice in this matter." He spoke softly.

"I know....okay, tell them I'll me there by tomorrow morning, and get me a flight to Europe for as soon as possible. I'll explain everything to Tim and Damian when I pick them up from school." Bruce finally gave in.

"Your flight leaves at 7 o' clock. And don't worry to much, maybe they'll actually get along while your gone." Lucius smiled.

Bruce gave a small smile back, "Yeah." he said sarcastically.

END FLASHBACK (Bruce's POV)

I sighed and put my head in my hands leaning on the steering wheel. Its going to be a long weekend. I hear the back door open and look back to see Damian getting in after Tim.

"How was school?" I ask.

"Good." "Fine." They both say at the same time (when they speak at the same time what Tim says will be first then Damian's) and I nod. I pull out onto the road and take a deep breath. "I have some news that I don't think either of you will like."

"What?" Tim asks cautiously.

"I have to go on a business trip this weekend and since Alfred is away right now you two are going to be alone." I tell them waiting for the outburst I know is coming.

"What?! You can't leave me alone with him!" "Father, you have to be joking!"

"Trust me I don't want to leave you two alone together either, but this meeting is a big deal to the company and I can't not be there." I tell them.

"What about Grayson or Todd couldn't they just stay the weekend?" Damian said to my surprise. Although Damian didn't hate Dick and Jason, he definitely didn't like them watching him.

"I already checked. Dick is working a case in Bludhaven and Jason is being....Jason. It's just for the weekend and I'll be back. And I am sorry Damian, I know I'm going to miss your birthday while I'm gone, but I'll make it up when I get back." I explain. I knew that Damian didn't really care about his birthday, seeing it as just another day of the year, but I still felt terrible.

"It's fine." he said in his usual tone of voice.

They both had their arms crossed and looking out the windows away from each other when Tim spoke up, "What about Gotham? Can we still go on patrol?"

Even Damian looked up to hear the answer to this question seeing as he was thinking the same thing. "No, I don't want you going out on your own. I asked for a favor and the Justice League is going to look after Gotham while I'm gone. If anything serious happens they'll send some people in."

"But father..." Damian started before I interrupted him.

"No buts and that's another thing. If anything serious happens at the manor while I'm gone, Tim is in charge." Both Tim and Damian seemed shocked by this statement.

"Father that's not fair!" Damian shouted obviously mad by this situation.

"It is fair! Tim is older and more experienced then you, Damian (Tim is 13 and Damian is 8). I know you can take care of yourself, that's why it's only if there's an emergency. This isn't up for negotiation, am I clear?" I said, my Batman voice coming out slightly, showing them I was serious. They both nodded and it was silent the rest of the drive home.

When we got to the manor, they both went into their rooms. Tim to probably study or do homework and Damian to probably play video games. I went up to my room and packed my cloth and other necessities. By the time I was done it was around 5 o' clock so I called a taxi to come and pick me up.

I went downstairs with my luggage to wait and called Tim and Damian down. Once they were down I started to talk, "Okay you two have a three day weekend this week, so i should be back by the time you wake up Monday morning. I am sorry I have to leave so suddenly." I hear a car horn in the front and realize its the taxi.

I pull them into a hug, "Bye I'll see you soon."

"Bye Bruce." "Goodbye father."

With that I left, already thinking of all the things that could go wrong while I'm gone.
