"Truth is not for the faint hearted..." My mother whispered in a low hushed voice as she slowly faded away...

"Riverside... well, how do I get started on telling you about Riverside. Okay, wait I got it now! Riverside is a small town on the outskirts of North Virginia. It's slightly smaller than most towns with a population of 3,000 people. This is where I live. Hello, I'm Alison Harper and this is my story."

"Nothing bad ever happened here until; on the 4th of February 2011 a young boy -of the age of 15- was murdered. No-one knows what happened (So they say) but that he was shot at Lakeside River (Lakeside River is a tiny lake in the middle of our town, hence, the name). It's daunting to say that a small town, in the North of Virginia could turn into a blood bath in the matter of months, maybe even weeks.

The person that was murdered was Kol Milson. Doesn't sound like an intimidating name, well don't be fooled; the Milsons' are the richest people in town and scariest -to say the least-. Kol Milson comes in a packaged deal, with Freya Milson; she's the devil in disguise. They're both red heads and horrible people; these are only two things they have in common. Everyone says Freya was divested to hear the news; I think say it's all an act to gain sympathy from the towns people. They think they own the place and to be honest, they do...

The Harpers and the Milsons have been rivals long before any of us were born and I'm happy I wasn't there to see it with my own two eyes. It all started when our great-grandfathers had a business deal and decided they were going to open their own work-shop in the realtor industry and it was called 'Duo family agency ' (I know, stupid name but back to the point), it was all going great until one day, Jay Milson decided that Arthur Harper (my great-grandfather) was better off dead. And that's when we lost everything. My great-grandmother was left alone, with no money and no job but she was left with my grandfather, he was 16 and didn't have a job. They were left with nothing. But they never gave up and decided to start their own newspaper called 'The Riverside news' and for their surprise, it worked and now it was passed down to my mother and it is the only Newspaper industry in town. Must say I'm impressed!

Oh and for the Milson family, let's just say they're still at the top of the hierarchy, but with all the secrets and lies and all that happened and will happen, I don't know if anyone will be at the top for much longer, it's only a matter of time before we all reach our limit..."
