This is a boringish chapter, but you get to see Jason again, for any who may care. ;D
“Yes.” I laughed.
“Yes?” He caught his breath.
“Damnit, yes!” I reached my arms out for a hug, and he fell right into me.
We both started laughing, and talking about our life with our baby and being married. We agreed to look for a house as soon as I was out of the hospital. In my state, if I’m pregnant, I can move out on my own.
Hours passed, and Sam was awake and knew about the engagement. The nurses even knew too.
“Baby names?” Shane asked me, moving his fingers around between mine.
“You pick boy, I’ll pick girl” I said.
“Drake Zachary Houston.” He smiled. “That’s the boy’s first name.”
“Taylor Elisabeth Houston” I smirked. “Girls.”
After we finished giggling about our baby, Shane stood up. He looked at me, and then looked at the door. I knew something was running through his mind.
“Where are you going, Houston?” I asked playfully.
“Football practice…” He said slowly.
“Football? Why football?” I was so confused.
“Sam told me that if I don’t get involved with the community, he will have no choice but to arrest me again. It’s part of my community service.” Shane was already grabbing his coat.
“So you’re playing for the school?” I asked.
“Nope. I’m playing for the Littleton Bobcats. You know, the community team.”
After he said that, he kissed me. Then we said our goodbyes and he left. I lay in my room talking to Sam about towns I wanted to live in. I already knew I was staying in Littleton, just for Shane. So he can stay in football. We discussed getting apartments, but apartment life wasn’t the kind of life for me. I heard a knock at the door, and a doctor came in.
“Hello Jamie. I’m Doctor Mallett. I’m here to do an ultrasound.” He smiled. “Pull up your gown, and we’ll get the show on the road.”
I did what he said.
“This is going to be cold, but it will be alright” He put the gel on my tummy, and started searching out my unborn baby.
“Look there, at that little blub. That’s your baby” He smiled and pointed to it.
I started crying when I seen my perfect little angel. I couldn’t wrap my head around there being a life inside me. I looked at my ring, and instantly wished Shane was here.
“Want to hear the heartbeat? I can take a picture and make a recording.”
“Okay” I couldn’t get any other words out.
He let me hear the heart beat, and it was perfect. I listened closely, just imagining my baby. I hoped it had Shane’s eyes. Wait… it isn’t Shane’s.
My heart dropped when I thought about Jason. His dark eyes, still stayed in the back of my mind and his rough hands ripping off my shirt. I couldn’t only imagine him hitting me in the head with a baseball bat. I can see Jason doing something like this.
I wanted to kill him. Knowing that if it wasn’t for Shane and Sam I would be dead. So would my baby.
I hope that man rots in hell. I watched the baby on the screen. I couldn’t hold back my tears any more. I couldn’t hold back the joy I felt. I wish Shane was here.
After my doctor left, he gave me a picture of Baby Houston.
“Jamie. There’s a visitor here to see you. Don’t freak out. He’s in his cuffs.” Sam said, knocking on my door.
“Okay…”
In walking in came a living nightmare. The scariest sight I’ve seen in my life.
“Jamie, I came to apologize for what I did. I’m sorry I almost killing you, and your baby. I heard it’s mine.” Jason’s words slipped off his tongue.
“No! it isn’t yours! It’s mine!” I screamed. I couldn’t move because of my head hurting so bad.
“I want to tell you that I want nothing to do with it. I don’t want to even see it. I’m going to jail anyhow. So, if you want to give it your boyfriend’s last name, I’m okay with it.”
“I don’t need your permission!” I screamed and screamed some more. They eventually took Jason out of my room, and Sam told me that he had to give me permission to give the baby Shane’s last name.
Rot in hell, Jason. Rot in hell.

Authors note.
The only reason I brought Jason back is because it is very true. If you have a child and try to give the child a last name that isn't their father's or the mothers, the Father can sue if he found out. So, to keep from confusion, I had to tell you that..
