Jamie! You can not go to his house anymore!” Sam screamed at me.

“Or what, Sam?! I was only hanging out! Nothing happened!” I lied.

            “He’s a delinquent!”

            “He’s changed!”

            “He’ll never change!”

His words clung to me. Anger rose within my body. I found myself wanting to be with him instead of being here, waiting for my already late father. He was missing out on dinner and a chance to be with us.

Right as I thought about it, my dad comes storming in the door. I run into his arms, just like a little girl would. Dad held his embrace and didn’t let go.  I buried my head in his chest and told him I loved him. His reply was

“What’s for dinner?”

I laughed and led him into the kitchen. We grabbed our plates and sat at the table. Sam and Dad held conversations, and my mind wondered to Shane.

“Right Jamie?” Sam’s voice snapped me out of  my day dream.

“What?” I asked.

“Shane Houston is back in school.” He pointed out.

I was dumbfounded. “Ye... Yes… why?”

“Nothing, I was just telling Ace how he was back in school”  Sam answered back.

Beep.

“What was that?” Dad asked, looking up from his plate.

“My phone...” I answered.

Beep beep.

“Shouldn’t you answer it?” Dad asked again.

“No… it’s fine.” I snapped.

Beeeeep, Beeeeeep! Beeeeeeep!

“GAH!” I snapped my chair back and ran to my phone. I opened up the text.

“Hey beautiful,

When I can I see you again? When can your lips touch mine? When Can I wrap my arms around you, and tease you? When can I kiss your beautiful neck?

-S. “

I blushed at the sight of his message. I opened up a reply page, and replied to him.

“Houston,

When can I feel the warm embrace of your arms? When can I brush my lips to yours? When can I watch your eyes follow every move I make? When can I finish “Rise of the planet Apes?

-J.”

I closed my phone and headed back into the kitchen, sat at my plate, and started eating the rest of my meal.

“Who was that?” Sam asked.

“Shane” I answered back, with a smile.

“Young lady, we’re going to have a serious talk about this! You know I don’t approve. Room! Now!” Sam snapped at me.

I looked at him. I shoved my chair back, and stomped to my phone to see if he replied.

“Leave the phone!” Sam called at me.

I slammed the phone down on the coffee table next to the couch. I ran up the stairs and slammed my door. I picked up a pen and paper.

Houston,

My Uncle has forbidden me from seeing you! Thy doesn’t know what to do! Ha, just kidding. I have been sent to my room though. I don’t know when I’ll talk to you again, out side of school, so I’m planning on giving this to you in school. Crumple it up, and throw it at you, just like you did for me. Hopefully I don’t miss. I found myself thinking about you, all night. I can still feel your arms around me, and I can still feel your kiss. I can still feel your stubble on my neck. We’re not even together, and I’m falling head over heals for you. We’ve only known each other for one day, and I’m finding myself wondering about you. I always hope you’re doing great. It’s all I want of you. I want you to stay safe. I know I can’t change the bad-boy out of you, and I don’t want to change it. Why is it that before today I thought you were an inconsiderate bastard, to now thinking of nothing BUT you? Houston, write me back. Kiss me.

-J.

I put the paper in my bag, and threw the pen at the vanity. Before I knew it, Sam came into my room.

“We need to talk” Sam said blankly.
