Armon woke up to a chill. He looked over and saw that his window was open. He could have sworn he shut and locked it, guess he did not, he then shut it and washed his face. He went to get dressed, but then he saw a beautiful blue stone on his pillow, he walked over to it and curiously picked it up.

The next thing he knew, he was in an old temple that was lit by the soft moonlight. He stood up and looked around in awe until he was face to face with an elderly man who had a black beard and wore a really long, ominous cloak. He stood regally and balance on a giant staff, he spoke with a voice that carried eons of wisdom

"Hello, Armon Firebird, my name is Sir Clint, I am one of the forgotten wizards." He motioned for him to follow him down a long corridor. "We have been waiting for you for a long time"

Armon seemed a bit skeptical "Why me? I'm nobody special."

"Oh but my boy, you are far more special than you realize." Sir Clint smiled reassuringly

"What do you mean by that?"

"All will be explained in time, for now, you must leave your home and find the other 3 power stones! For you must obtain them before King Velex does." Sir Clint summoned a light orb showing the king as his subjects saw him "He may seem like a kind king on the outside, but on the inside he is a power hungry man who wants to rid the world of anything more powerful than him." The image slowly started to crumble as dark energy consumed it. "If he gets his hands on those stones, nothing and I mean nothing can stop him." More images of what the king has done to those with magic appeared, making Armon question everything he believed in. "Armon Firebird, son of Sasiliea and Jason Firebird, you must accept this journey!"

Armon watched as the wizards were being slaughtered by the king's knights."I... I don't know. Can i think about it?"

"I will give you till midnight to have an answer," he summoned a bell and placed it in his hands. "When you have your answer, just ring this belle three times "

"Yes sir " Sir Clint sent Armon back to his room. He just stood there, confused, frightened, and weighed down knowing that the world is in his hands. What can he do now?

Armon's pov:

I left my room, lost in thought. There are so many different things going through my brain

"If I say no, the world is in danger. But if I say yes, not only will I be in danger but I'd also have every odd stacked against me." I sighed and looked at an old family photo on the wall. "Dad, if only you were here, you could tell me what to do! I wish you were still here, maybe you could tell me if I'm supposed to leave mom alone...and what if I don't come back? Will she be okay?" As I was talking out loud I didn't hear my mom come into the room.

"It's okay honey, I will always be okay. I was wondering when he would come for you, I just didn't think it would be so soon." She gently held my hand and sighed.

"Wait so you knew this would happen? Why didn't you ever tell me?"

" We never told you to cause we wanted to protect you! The king was out to kill the forgotten wizards, you are one of them sweety. Your father and I did not want to lose you, so we left the capital and built our family here. Out here, you would be safe and away from his wrath."

"Mom, I can't just leave you here! "

"Sweetheart, you can and will the world needs you, you are its last hope."

"Mom, I love you so much. I will make you proud."

She smiled "You already have" I rang the bell three times making Sir Clintlint appear in front of me. I took a deep breath and said

"I will save the world and bring peace or die trying!"

"Your father would be so proud of you." He handed me a bag of supplies "Here is a map, follow it and it shall lead you the next stone. Remember, this journey will be dangerous. You may not come back alive"

"I know sir, I'm willing to risk my life for this world. But I will survive this and become the hero I wanted to be." I lifted my father's sword and smiled.

reader pov:

"Okay so you have everything right? Food, clothes, weapons, tent, horse?"

"Yes mom, I'm all packed up and ready I will be fine"

"I know my boy, I love you be safe"

"Yes mom" He then hugged his mom one last time before mounting his horse to ride off on his journey of danger, friendship, enemies and maybe even some love.
