There he sat now, his gaze fixed on Armin and Mikasa. And her look at him, Eren Jaeger.

A boy her age.
With beautiful eyes that reflected the ocean. The ocean, she thought.
The thing which Armin had always talked about so fascinatingly.

"Do you admire Eren again?" Sasha asked with a grin on her face.

Mina winced briefly and then looked over at her. "What? No, of course not" she said.

"Oh no, sure you don't!" Sasha started laughing.

She rolled her eyes. "Sasha, how many more times do I have to te-"

"Mina!" She gave Sasha a confused look. "Guess who's staring at you." Her cheeks turned red, without even knowing, who was staring at her. Eren, she thought.

She turned her head slowly in his direction and looked directly into his blue-green eyes, she felt a slight tingling in her stomach.

Now he was blushing too, but kept the eye contact. He just couldn't avoid her. Mina's eyes had captivated him. They were brown and huge, it looked like they were going to burst into tears any second, but that wasn't the case. Her eyes had always been so sparkly. That's how Mina's eyes were, big and dreamy.

She gave him a little smile, which woke him out of his trance and turned away from her. Have I looked at her for too long? he asked himself, but his eyes now on Armin, who was smirking at him.

"What?" he knew exactly what was going on.

Armin had always told him that as soon as Mina was in his near, he was completely fixated on her. And no matter how often he tried to deny it, Armin had always caught him looking for her.

"Are you sure you hate her?" Armin asked him. His eyes flicked quickly over to Mina, who was already in a conversation with Sasha and then back to Eren. Who had turned all his attention back at her again.

"Armin ..." his eyes still on Mina. "She is our enemy," he said and now looked at Armin. "Mina is a Marleyan, have you already forgotten?"

"Don't tell yourself that, Ere-"

"Armin!" he noticed that he was getting too loud and tried to lower his voice. "You're the one who tries to deny the truth. Mina is and will stay as our enemy, the same goes for Rya!"

Armin's eyes widened when Eren spoke about Rya. "So don't get attached to her." although he had now fixed his gaze on the floor, he saw Armin's expression change. "Do you honestly think they would ever want something from us? They see us as the villains, we are just filthy Eldians who can turn into demons and do bad things to the world!"

And so Eren ended the conversation. Without even waiting for any answer from Armin, he got up and left the café. He couldn't watch how his best friend was suffering.

But Armin wasn't the only one who was struggling with this pain.

"Damn it!" Eren muttered to himself. He didn't knew where he was going, but he just wanted to be alone.

When he looked up to the sky he stopped. It was already dark and a few stars could be seen. The sight had calmed him down a bit.

And so he stood for a while, his gaze fixed on the stars. He sighed.

The view of the starry sky was pretty, but she was prettier.
