In Leto's hand, the police badge almost felt heavy. When they saw the picture inside of it, they gave each other a nervous look: the young woman Siali rescued was a police officer. More exactly, a recruit that seemed to be fresh out of the academy. So how did she end up getting attacked by Amnesia, in the middle of Downtown? What did she do to be chased by them?

– Police Recruit Avalyn Lehender... pronounced Leto, with worry in her voice.

– Let's take this with us, just in case. I'll call some guys to clean it all up.

She nodded, putting it into her dress' pocket, and without wasting any more time, they left the parking. This time, rather than climbing the stairs, they headed to the barriers, passing under it, then headed to Rhy's car. Both of them were quite anxious, but until they put their belts on, they did not say a thing. There, he showed her a soft smile, squeezing her hand tighter.

– Are ya okay? He asked, starting the engine.

– I kinda feel like I've ruined another date, but otherwise, yeah, she chuckled.

– Ya didn't, Sugar. I'm just really glad you're not hurt.

She smiled back and bent in to tenderly kiss his cheek, before they drove off. They kept silent all along the road, sometimes coming to stroke each other's hand. This event shook them a bit; the mere idea of the other being in danger sent chills down their spine. When they finally stopped in front of her apartment and got out of the car, Leto ran into his arms, and being close yet gain eased their anxiety. He hugged her tight and they stood there for an instant.

– Ya have no idea how scared I've been for you, Sugar, sighed Rhy, squeezing her against him.

– Same here... I would've ended Siali if anything happened to you.

They gave each other a smile, and entered the building while holding hands. It was as dark as usual there, and the young woman had to lead the way, since he was about to take the wrong one. She chuckled, squeezing on his hand.

– That's there, she said. Follow me.

– Dammit, how come yer landlord didn't repair the lights already? He grumbled. I gotta talk to him, one day.

They shared a laugh at his phrase, and climbed the stairs, arriving at the second floor. There, she let go off him to take her keys, opening the door and closing as soon as they were both inside. The floor lamp was lightening the small place and Leto exhaled of relief; now that the man she loved was here with her, this looked like somewhere she could call home. She went to let herself fall onto the couch, and he joined her with a smile.

– Long day, uh? He remarked, his thumb fondling her cheek.

– Very long day. But as soon as you're with me, then the longer the better.

He couldn't refrain a blush at her words, especially when she put a kiss on his finger, before she leaned to take off her boots, throwing them away then nestling against him. In a smirk, he gently grabbed her waist and pulled her onto his lap, his arms wrapped around her. She chuckled, settling up correctly to face him, and stole him a kiss.

– Playin' it bold, aren't you? She said, amused.

– Yeah, 'specially since we've been interrupted...

– True. Where were we, already?

– Right there, Sugar.

His lips immediately came back for hers, passionately, as they shared another deep kiss. She closed her eyes, appreciating every seconds, and wishing they would last hours. One of her hands began to caress his chest, the other playing with some of his red hair, while his were running along her back and shoulders. His fingertips onto her skin were making her shiver almost as much as his tongue on hers did, and when they parted to catch back their breathing, both of them were blushing.

– I... I love ya, Leto, he whispered in a huffing, brushing off some hair away from her face, tenderly.

– I love you too, Rhy, she answered, I just... I just love you so much...

Her mouth descended onto his neck, placing a kiss onto his uncovered tattoo. As his fingers slid under the neckline of her off-shoulders dress, she felt a wave of warmness hitting her, but he suddenly stopped. He observed her with a hint of amusement, eager to see her reaction, his cheeks just as red as hers. She could not help but pout.

– Did you just tease me? She asked, in a light frown.

– I wouldn't dare... Or would I?

He kissed her with a smirk, that abruptly disappeared when she woke up, giggling.

– Very, very bad idea, y'know...

– Are ya runnin' away, Sugar?

– Yeah, and I won't let you catch me that easily!

In a laugh, she ran off, and he followed her, amused.

– Ya think so?

– I'm sure of-...

She barely dodged him, laughing so hard tears came into her eyes, and rushed to her bedroom. It was only then that she realized she was now stuck: Rhy stood at the door, arms crossed.

– Uh-oh, she chuckled, guess I screwed up!

– Yes ya did, he replied, before dashing to her.

In no time, he caught her, picking her up, and she instantly hugged him tight as they shared another laughter.

– Gotcha, he murmured, before putting her down on the bed.

– You only caught me 'cause I missed being in your arms... Else, I would've been too fast for you!

– Ya sure of that?

He came above her, and, after a nod, she pulled him onto her and stole him a kiss. While his lips went back to hers, his left hand softly passed from her knee to her thigh, ending onto her hip, slightly lifting the skirt of her dress. He parted his mouth from hers to whisper:

– Talkin' of fast, tell me if that's too quick for ya, Sugar. Tell me to stop, and I'll stop.

At her phrase, she couldn't help but smile, moved that he really respected her choices in all occasions. However, she had no intention to tell him to stop. She wrapped her legs around his waist and, using her weight, switched the role, pinning him onto the mattress.

– What if I tell you to not stop?

– In that case, I swear that not even a bullet will stop me. Only yer voice, Leto.

– Then don't stop, Rhy.
