a few days went by and nothing changed between me and captain levi. it was as if the shit that happened in his office never even happened. truly, nothing at the base changed much.
mikasa and petra still hated my guts, sasha, connie, and jean have been cool and with me the entire time, eren has been consistently flirting with me and showing that he has a similar attitude as me, and armin has been helping me with my studies and learning about everything.

"no way." i called his bluff. "cap."
"i swear." he laughed. "i don't lie."
"liar!" i yelled. "i've been here for all of a week and watched you manipulate 4 people already."

"well, it won't work on me." i pushed his shoulder. "so don't try armeen." i dragged his name out. he rolled his eyes and laughed.
"you're the last person i would even dare." he laughed. "when do you find out your squad assignment?"
"today sometime." he nodded and helped me off the floor. "i might fuck around and not get placed at all."
"why do you say that?" he asked. "you're like the best one here. and you're a fast learner so you know a lot of the book stuff. you'll be fine and will be standing next to me, eren, and the rest of levi squad."
"armin. anyone ever tell you that you could be a motivational speaker?" i teased.
"man shut up." he laughed. "i'm being serious."
"so am i." i said. "talking to you makes me feel like i can tell you anything, which is probably where the manipulation is coming in. fuck ass."
"whatever, just be glad captain didn't beat you up like he did eren. cause you clearly be pissing him off." i shrugged at his words.
