"Did we seriously waste our time going here for nothing?", You groaned. "The host just gave me this map. It's in the mountains five kilometers from here", Cherry place down a large map onto the table. "And it's listed as a secluded hot spring".

"Five Kilometers huh? Sounds like the prefect distance to have a beef", Joe suggested. "OH, yeah", Langa mumbled with sparkly eyes. "Did someone say beef?", Shadow shouted sliding the door wide open to reveal his full make-up face. "I'm in let's go!" Everyone stared at him with a weird face expression. "Wow, full hair and make-up", Joe stated. "There's no point in putting make-up on if you're going to a hot spring. It's obviously just gonna rub off wants you get in the water", You cooed. "What did you say you kid", Shadow scoffed. "I thought you were sleeping off your hang over", Miya added in.

"Only the weak needs to rail by boos. Now the mask is in control", Shadow exclaimed. "What does this mark mean", Langa pointed to somewhere on the map completely ignoring Shadow. "Look's like a face", Joe reply. "Monkey meeting spot", Cherry scoff. "Guys!"

"Maybe that's where the thing is the host is talking about", Miya stared down at the symbol. "Will you shut up about it Miya!", You slapped his arm. "They wouldn't draw something like that on a map! C'mon", Reki yelled in horror. "Seems like you're afraid of it", Miya stared at him. "Y'know, you do seem way more scared than everyone else", You furrowed your brows at the red-haired teenager. "Oh please, do you think I''m afraid of some grade school ghost stories? Cause I'm not", Reki brushed it off before continuously shaking in fear.

"Have any of you been hearing the strange sound too", Joe spoke up with a serious face. "Stop you're freaking me out", Reki scolded the green haired adult. "He's definitely scared", You whispered over Miya. He nodded in response. "That was one. There's two. There's three".

Everyone adverted their attention towards Cherry whom was slowly collecting the plates as Miya flashed a flash light into his face making him look scary. "Okay you're not funny!", Reki shouted.

Everyone was now dress in a kimono looking at a map to the hot spring. "Alright, first one to arrive at the hot spring wins. Plain and simple.", Joe stated the obvious. "You can choose whatever path you want". "Then a lot of this depends on our abilities to read maps", Langa stared directly at the map. "Dungeon are my forte", Miya smiled. "Hey, do you really wanna do this tonight? It's already dark and-"', Reki was interrupted by the sounds of Cherry in his serious voice. "Clara, count down". "Okay master, 3, 2, 1", And with that everyone took off leaving Reki behind all alone.

"Are they seriously planning on going to the hot spring this late", Reki clenched onto his skateboard. "People do say hot spring are way more relaxing and calming when you got around night time", You came out of nowhere. Reki jumped in horror by your sudden appearances. "You're still here?", Reki exclaimed. "Obviously, I felt a bit uneasy since I was the only girl here. Plus I was looking for a shortcut to the hot spring without having to race the other guys. If you want, I don't mind tell-", You were interrupted by Reki refusing your offer. "I'm gonna be fine on my own. No need to worry about me", Reki shouted skating away.

You furrowed your eyes at him before shrugging it off and heading back inside. You were still in your same attire from dinner since you didn't feel like changing into some silly clothes the host gave. Just a plain white t-shirt, shorts, and a jacket was all you were wearing. Right as you grab your phone off the table, you noticed an unusual flayer on the table that was never there before. You slow picked up the flayer and begin reading it from top to bottom.

"MIYAKOJIMA'S STRANGE FESTIVAL" "PAANTU WILL PAY A VISIT" "GET COVERED IN MUG AND IT WILL PROTECT YOU FROM EVIL SPIRITS"

You squinted your eyes at the flayer getting a closer look at it. "What kind of sick joke is this? Get covered in mud to keep away evil sprits seriously", You blurted out. You then look side to side. "But if what Miya said is true, then I should probably keep my distance", You said stuffing the flayer in your backpack. But now, you were debating if you should warn the others or just let them get covered in mud.

You shrugged and went a safer way from the others so you could avoid anything in your way.

Your body was covered in a towel sitting in the girl side of the hot spring. Your hair was tied up in a bun, so your hair wouldn't get wet in the water. You started beating up in heat. You quickly got up and and got out of the bath. "Talk about heat", You mumbled freezing to death. Just then, you heard screaming from the male side. You jumped in fear and quickly ran to one of the stall. "What the hell is going on", You whispered to yourself while shaking.

"Argh, I can still smell it", Shadow groaned in disgust my the rotten smell covered around him. "I've never realize you were so sensitive", Miya stared down at his game. "I work in a flower shop. They're not too cool when you smell bad", Shadow stared over at Miya. "Restaurants are the same way", Joe butted it in. "C'mon, it's not that bad", You spoke up. Every adverted their attention towards you. "Are you kidding? We're are disgusting", Reki scolded you.

"That guy sure was fast wasn't he?", Langa asked. "Was it a human", Cherry asked curiously. "Had to be a ghost", Joe said in a weird way. "There's no way", Reki shouted. "Then tell us what is was?", Shadow said.
