Chapter 1 - Background

I lived in Norway until I was 11 years old. It was such a beautiful place, I wish I could've gone back there just one more time, but not all wishes are made to come true. In my opinion, Ålesund is one of the prettiest places in Norway, bright colours, amazing views, I remember it all so clearly. I haven't been home in 73 years. I grew up with my mum and dad, I was an only child so I had no siblings. It was lonely but if I'm honest, I liked being the centre of attention. My dad got a job in the United Kingdom in 2005, hence why we moved from Norway. Oh how I miss that place, home. I had my first everything's there, my first words, first steps, first tears, first laughs, first friends, I think I miss them the most. I never saw most of them again after moving, I have always remembered their names though, Alec Johansen, Jonas Anders, Anita Olsen and Camilla Kristiansen. When we arrived in the UK, it was June 26th, so we still had a couple months before I started secondary school. I guess this is the story of my life since then, see you on the other side.
