Hi, I'm Amber Vaught, SENIOR Spy Girl, that's right my last year. You can say i'm really excited, don't get me wrong i love learning how to become a spy, but being locked in here for all my life is totally bogus. I'm ready to get out into the real life and kick some butt!! I'm 17 and I love how my school is only for girls, less distractions if you know what im saying, but WAY more drama.. Well let's stop talking about me and continue in my present life..
"Amber Vaught are you listening to me?" My best friend Holly Parker since we was 7 years old asked me. I looked at her and shook my head.
"Sorry, it's the first day back from summer and I'm just not totally here yet." Holly laughed and we walked to our rooms. Every girl shares a room with 2 other girls, me and Holly get a new roommate since the last one graduated last year.
"Who do you think our new roommate will be?" I shrugged and opened the door with the key and dumped my suitcases beside my bed and fell onto it closing my eyes. "Amber you're so lazy." We have a whole hour to sit in our rooms and get unpacked before the underclass girls got here and we'd have to show the freshmen to their rooms.
"Excuse me." There was a knock on the door, I sat up on my bed looking at my manner class teacher Mrs. Young. Yes, a spy school still teaches regular classes and has a manner class, it's crazy.
"Hello Mrs. Young. What do you need?" I looked at her.
"Your Aunt needs to see you." I nodded and she hurried away.
"I'll be back in a second." Holly nodded still unpacking while I haven't even started. I walked slowly down the halls I'm so familiar with. I spent a lot of my summer here because of my Aunt so I figured out a lot of secrets about Golden Heights. I walked right into her office without knocking.
"Amber! Manners please!" She scolded and I roll my eyes and plop down into the chair in front of her desk.
"Sorry Mrs. Evergreen." I said sarcastically my Aunt was the principal of Golden Heights, so I have to watch everything I do, but I didn't care if she found out or not. My Aunt sighed and straightened papers on her desk.
"Amber you know to call me Aunt Tiffany when you're in my office to visit, we're family still you know. So, I wanted to talk to you about your new roommate." I groaned and she ignored it. "Her name is Lily Daniels, she's a sweet girl, too sweet she needs to toughen up to become a good spy. I want you to help her toughen up." My mouth fell agape.
"Aunt Tiffany! You can't 'make' a girl toughen up, you have to let her toughen up on her own. You should know that." I crossed my arms standing, I was only 5ft 2inches but I could do a lot of things other girls couldn't.
"Just do it." I glared at her then walked to the door.
"Why don't you make her." I yelled to her slamming the door. I may seem mean to my Aunt, but she is hiding something from me about my parents and won't tell me, she has also lied to me a lot, so why should I like her? I walked back upstairs to find our room empty, I un-packed my clothes and headed back downstairs to find the other senior girls helping the first arrivers. I found Holly and stood beside her.
"What did your Aunt want?" She whispered.
"Talked about our new roommate, her name is Lily something and apparently she's too sweet and I'm supposed to make her tough. Psht yeah right." Holly laughed and left helping a freshman to her room. I was next in line to help when a small girl who was about 5ft tall walked in, I stepped up smiling, taking some of her luggage. "Hi, I'm Amber." She smiled and held her hand out.
"I'm Lily Daniels." I shook her handnand then it clicked, our new roommate.
"Well let me take you to your room." I took some more luggage off of her to make it lighter for her small body. We walked upstairs and into my and Holly's room. "This will be your bed." I set the luggage down at the empty bed.
