It's a Spy World

Chapter 3

I came up gasping for air and looked over to where Holly was on the ground laughing. I swam over to the bank grabbed her wrist and pulled her in with me.

"Jerk." She spat water out of her mouth.

"You're the one who pushed me in first." She laughed and we climbed out of the pond and walked back in the school dripping wet.

"Oh my gosh. You're soaking wet and you're getting the floor wet! Hurry up and get changed." My Aunt said wrinkling her nose walking in behind us. I stood still and shook my body like a dogs getting her, the floor, the walls, and everything around me wet. "Amber!" She screamed and I laughed going upstairs to my room.

"That was so fun." Holly said while eating dinner. During our field training class we got to do hand to hand combat just like Mr. Crouch had promised, of course I was ahead of the class so I got to show off a little. "You was like a freaking ninja or something. Where did you learn all that?!"

"Lets just say I have a good teacher." I laughed standing and leaving the dining hall. I walked down the art hallway looking at all the paintings. I got to the end of the hall and opened the top of the bench grabbing my sketch pad and pencil, I closed the top back and sat down. I looked out the window looking at the sunset and began to draw.

"What are you doing?" A freshman girl came up and sat in front of me.

"What are you doing out of the dining hall?" I stopped drawing and looked at the small girl.

"Got bored." She shrugged.

"Now you sound like me. I'm Amber by the way."

"Im Ella. Oh I know who you are. Every girl in this school does." She looked out the window

"I don't know if I should take that as a good thing or a bad one."

"Oh deffinetly a good one. You are like the best Spy girl here, all of us freshman want to be as good as you when we're seniors." All of a sudden an alarm started going off, blaring and lights flashing.

"Code Yellow. I repeat code Yellow." The voice came through the intercom

"What's code yellow?" Ella asked, I stood up and grabbed her wrist pulling her down the hall, she picked up the hint and started to run. We reached the end of the hallway to find the security gate already closed and locked.

"Come on I know where to hide." I squatted and she got on my back, I started to run down the hallway back where we was sitting earlier I moved the picture frame beside the window back and knocked on the wall 5 times, the wall slid open and I walked inside then shut the wall back. "Stay quiet. Code yellow means someone's trying to break into the school." Ella nodded and slid off my back and sat on the floor, I sat beside her. I listened outside still hearing the alarm.

"This is cool." Ella whispered.

"It won't be cool if they find us so shush." I whispered and she nodded. What seemed like forever later the alarms stopped sounding and my Aunt came on the intercom.

"Attention Golden Heights girls. That was just a practice drill, good job girls. I need Amber Vaught and Ella Gibson to report to my office immediately." I sighed standing and opening the wall helping Ella out, I closed the wall and straightened the picture frame.

"Don't tell anyone about that hiding place got it? If I hear or see you and your buddies talking about it, I will literally hurt you." Ella nodded looking scared, I wouldn't really hurt her but I thought it would get the point across. We walked to my Aunts office and walked in.

"There you two are! Where were you during the drill?!" My Aunt yelled and I looked at my other teachers looking at me and Ella.

"We got caught in the hall coming back from the bathroom so I took Ella and me into a hiding place I found." My teachers nodded looking pleased but my Aunt stared at me.
