Episode 5: The other side of Hollywood

Your Pov: {2020}

I've been working all day and even though I can't physically get tired because I'm a ghost, I'm mentally exhausted. So I decide to take a break in my dressing room.

I lay on my couch, one arm slung over my face to shield my eyes from the light. After a while I let out a sigh as the door to my dressing room bursts open.

"Y/N! You'll never believe it!" Willie says as he comes over to me.

"What?" I say as I take my arm off my face so I can look at him.

"You know that cute ghost I told you about?" Willie asks and all I can do is bring myself to nod.

"Well he's downstairs. Him and his bandmates wanted to get back at someone and asked me for help," Willie says and my eyes widen with fear, then narrow as I get angry.

We both promised we'd never subject anyone to this life. Why would he bring them here?

"William. Why would you bring them to him? You know what he'll do. He'll stop at nothing till he gets them to join the club," I say, looking out for the newcomers.

"I know. But they really wanted help and I wanted to help them...." Willie says desperately.

"Willie. Look... I'm not mad at you. But you've only endangered them. They would have been better off without ever coming here," I say as I lean against him now as he slumps on my couch.

"They would have ended up here either way though...." Willie says and I perk up at that.

"How do you know that?" I ask and Willie sniffles.

"He had bumped into Alex before I met him. When he found out I was hanging with him, he asked me who he was...." Willie says and I shake my head.

"Willie.... I... ugh, I don't know what to do. I guess I could go to Caleb right now and give him the rest of my soul? Maybe that would save you all?" I say and Willie's eyes widen.

"Y/N, no. I wouldn't let you do it before and I certainly won't now," Willie says and I only nod.

"Well we have to do something!" I say and Willie flinches.

"I'm sorry..." I say as I realize how loud that had been.

"It's ok. I get it. You just don't want anyone else stuck here if they don't have to be," Willie says and I nod before I lean into him again.

"What are we going to do then, Willie?" I say and he just smiles.

"Don't worry. I already talked to Caleb. He said he'd help, then just leave them alone. Heck, he even gave them a private table!" Willie says and I sit back up to look at him.

"Do you really believe he's just going to let them be? I mean he's Caleb, when does he ever keep any promises? And just because he sets up a private table for them doesn't mean he has no alternative motive...." I point out and Willie's face falls.

"You're right.... how could I have been so dumb?" Willie says as he puts his head in his hands.

"You're not dumb, Willie. I promise. You were just swept up in trying to help the one you love," I say as I rub his back.
