When will you know you've moved on?
It is when your heart knows it's over.
There was a time when you thought you'd never love another soul after your first love. You thought the loss of him will be the death of you. You'd think no man could ever make you whole again because the man you thought would be the one turned out to be a mere chapter of your book. But what do you know about love? Or perhaps your perception of love's so little that not some 16-year old girl could quite comprehend the true nature of it. Love was as vast as the sea and the further you swim, the more it would devour you whole, dragged you down to the depths of the deep blue sea until you weren't able to gasp for air, and you'd realize one thing: there was no saving.
It's been six months ago since my last fall. I remember how we said goodbyes under the starry night sky beside the sea. You held me in your arms one last time before we broke apart. And I watched your back walking towards my opposite direction as the darkness slowly took you away from me. The sea was the witness of our love story for which I was about to tell.
