ok. so basically, my mom told me 1 week ago that she is supposed to live with me for 2 weeks and I am irritated.

I haven't lived with her for over 8 years now...

we never really had a good relationship and then after they got divorced, I went with my dad which she definitely did not like.

after I left Pune, I never actually talked to her until they started forcing me to get married and that definitely did not help our relationship.

when I stayed with my family, I had many fights with my mom, and the only person who could stop us was - papa...

so, I am doing a very practical thing right now...

I'm at my terrace, with my phone, dialing papa's number because I know he is in Mumbai.

" hello... pari?"
" papa... I need help,"
" with?"
" Mumma... she's staying with us for 2 weeks. cancel her holiday and send her back please? she has already fried my brain and it's been 1 week now," I begged my dad
" you are the boss right now... you can cancel her holiday yourself,"
" she will kill me..."
" then I can't help... we are divorced remember?"
"I know that. but you are in Mumbai to check the company's stability right now right?"
" if you know this then you are doing a good job. I'm going back to Pune today,"
" hey no... don't leave me to suffer alone here. I went with you for a reason..."
" *sighs* what do you want me to do?"
" Stay with me..."
" huh? that's only going to complicate things even more... we are not on as good terms as we show..."
"I know that but the mother-in-law and son-in-law duo has fried my brain... I am not able to even complete my work because they told me to go out and do some exercise... they have literally hidden my laptop papa... I need to complete my work, I can't do that on my phone. I came at 12 yesterday and instead of a ' get some sleep after eating because you will be tired ', I got lectured on how my timetable is not fixed. I almost fought yesterday... I was too tired and I had a huge headache but no. Mumma had to scold me and sohit had to agree with everything she said. please save me... think about your company at least? or your poor daughter??" I begged him.
" you are digging your own grave and mine too... we don't want to live or even see each other's faces right now," he warned me
" if you come, you are going to be by my side and let me work peacefully. sohit can't say anything to you and you are my legal guardian so Mumma will not be able to say anything... you don't even need to stay at home all day long. just come with me to the office. in fact, stay with me wherever I go I really can't live 7 more days this way..." I begged again

" *sighs* you have 3 rooms right?"
" yes... please. when are you coming?"
" Tomorrow morning?"
" by 7... we will have to go to the office..."
" it's Sunday tomorrow pari,"
" and I could not complete my work today because my laptop has been stolen. there are only a few papers... I'll be done by lunch,"
" you really are turning into me..."
"I don't mind it. you are my role model..." I said and I could feel his smile from the other side.
" I'm coming by 7 tomorrow then?"
" yes. bye, papa..."
" bye,"

ok. now all I have to do is - tell Mumma...

this is going to be ugly.

I came back home and it was 8.

" done with your walk?" Mumma asked me as I came inside the hall
" uh yes... actually, I have to tell you something..." I said nervously and she raised her eyebrow
" and that is?" she asked
" papa is coming here... to stay," I said and both my fiance and mom stared at me for a long time as if asking for an explanation.
"I have too much work and I need his help... he's in Mumbai so..." I explained
" no. that doesn't explain why he has to come here and stay with us..." my mom interjected her opinion.
" well, just like you, I haven't stayed with him for a while too. he is going to be with me in the office and since you are already here, I thought it won't be a bad thing if I asked him to stay with us... for 1 week..." I said and both the people in front of me had disbelief plastered all over their faces.
