"dude, you're kinda ripped though?" bambam commented, eyes shamelessly scanning all over jeongguk's body. "you workout?"

it was gym class. the students from jeongguk's year were in the middle of the gym, standing in lines according to their respective classes.

jeongguk looked down, scanning his own body. "thanks, yeah i kinda do sometimes." he replied honestly, sounding as neutral as possible to hide his shyness.

"damn." bambam stared at jeongguk's thighs.

jeongguk followed his gaze and affectively covered his thighs with his arms. "okay now i feel violated, turn back around." he said.

turning around to face their gym teacher standing at the front, bambam laughed. "okay, sorry, geez."

as they were stretching, more students from a different year barged into the gymnasium and occupied the space right across from where they were all assembled.

jeongguk poked bambam from behind, "why are they here? do we have a sport event or something?"

bambam turned to face him, "oh nah, we've one combined pe class with year 3 students every week, on tuesdays." he explained.

jeongguk hummed attentively. he glanced back at the seniors and somehow found joshua among the crowd. he observed him for some time simply because he had nothing else to do and stretching was getting boring.

after some time, the older saw him too and started waving at him. the action gained his friends' attention as they waved at jeongguk too. very friendly.

the pe teacher clapped his hands a few times to gain the students' attention. they were instructed to divide into 3 groups depending on which sport that they chose to play today — volleyball, badminton, or basketball.

jeongguk opted for volleyball, along with jaehyun while eunwoo and bambam went for badminton.

the students that chose to play badminton and basketball headed out to the outdoor courts while for volleyball, the students will be playing the sport in the gymnasium.

"you've played before?" jaehyun asked as the teacher was grouping the students into 2 teams that will be competing against each other.

"yeah." jeongguk replied, looking across the net in the middle as they all got into their positions. in the middle, he saw taehyung standing with a blank look on his face.

jaehyun followed his gaze, "that's kim taehyung."

"i know." jeongguk looked away as soon as taehyung caught him staring. "he looks like he just wanna go home." he commented since taehyung looked very disinterested to play.

"wait 'til you see him play." jaehyun said and then the whistle blew off after a student was done with explaining the basic rules of the sport.

immediately, jeongguk found out that jaehyun was right. taehyung was a beast.

the students were all active in playing and the competitive spirit was high. jeongguk found it fascinating since most of the students back in his old school were not even close to being this enthusiastic during pe classes.
