"you know you could tell me anything right?"

taehyung slightly turned his head to shoot a glare at joshua, who was standing behind him and fake-stretching at its best.

it was pe class, the students were all lined up per usual to warm up before playing any sport.

"we're not even close, dude. i don't even know what your last name is." taehyung deadpanned.

"it's hong." joshua simply replied. "i'm gonna say it again, you can literally tell me anything— you know, like who you're dating? i won't tell anyone—"

taehyung let out a snicker at that, turning his body around. he pointed a finger at the head prefect, "you literally only took a single day to tell the whole school that i apparently had sex with the new kid."

joshua smiled defeatedly, "well, that was a big news, it's impossible to keep my mouth shut."

taehyung turned back around, already sick of having to entertain joshua. plus, talking to the boy was just gonna contribute to him getting funny ideas about his private life.

taehyung got back to warming up in peace until he felt a tap on his shoulder, knowing exactly whose hand was it.

"what do you want?" he groaned in annoyance.

joshua smiled victoriously when taehyung didn't ignore him, "are you dating jeongguk?" he asked in a straightforward manner.

"pft, no." taehyung scoffed in disgust, lightly bouncing on his feet to loosen up his limbs after stretching. "that's ridiculous. why the hell would i date him?"

"you guys held hands- and you were the one who initiated the move for god's sake." joshua retorted, hungry for the truth.

"and like, the real question is that why wouldn't you date him? he's hella pretty, hot, smart, and has a good personality— oh wait, that must be why!" joshua exclaimed. taehyung squinted his eyes as he gazed at the boy questioningly.

"he has a good personality which is something you can't relate to." joshua placed a hand on taehyung's shoulder as he now stood beside the taller male.

"but you know, to find a good partner, you gotta find someone that has something that you're lacking of." joshua continued with an advice that no one asked for.

taehyung pretended to think for a second, "i'm perfect though?"

joshua faked a gag, "sure."

then their gym teacher clapped a few times to get everyone's attention and asked a student to explain the same thing about the rules all over again.

"i want jeon on my team!" joshua shouted, pulling jeongguk with him as they all started to get in formation.

"why? he's not that good anyway." taehyung snickered from behind the two.

everyone around them looked back and forth between taehyung and jeongguk, interested in the "lovers'" quarrel.
