*the trial day*

*3rd pov*

"I think we keep overlooking the fact that my client is the Avatar, the saviour of our city, for generations the powerful spirit, guided all the past Avatars and helped them to do the right thing"

"objection! The fact that the miss Waters present here is the Avatar does not mean that she will automatically be the good guy!"

"The objection is accepted, the argument is invalid"

"Judge may I?"

"Allowed"

"Thank you, as you can see, Avatar Korra was here with us for almost 10 years now, and since the beginning, she saved our city more than 3 times, I have here a list of stuff she has done for our city and world in general"

"Accede"

The lawyer walked up to the judge and placed the list on his table as he went back to his place

"You may now continue"

"I have no further remarks."

It was now more than 2 hours since the beginning of the trial, and everyone was growing inpatient, especially Korra, she was standing there in the middle of the room in a prison jumpsuit, legs cuffed and hands with one chain, reminding her a lot of the accident that happened 5 years ago, but right now, her thoughts were completely different.

The judge wrote down some stuff on the paper as he stood up with a book

"Present here, stand up" and everyone did as he continued "And hear the verdict in the name of the Republic City case of Korra Waters"

"Avatar Korra, I sentence you to 20 years in prison for the murder of 2 civilians, and drug dealing. You have the opportunity to appeal against the judgment within 14 days of its establishment. There is no possibility for the bail payment. Take her away.

For Korra, it felt like the world has stopped, she was charged for something she didn't do, and now she will sit in jail for 20 years and the city will be without security.

The police officers grabbed Korra as they dragged her out of the court hall, when she was at the door she turned around and saw Asami standing with other people in the court hall as she watched the person she loved being taken away and it was only because of her, if she would've trusted Korra, if she would never call the police, none of this would happen.

Once Korra was out, her mother ran up to her before they were able to stop her as she hugged her child tightly

"I'm so sorry mom, It wasn't my fault, they have the wrong person"

"I trust you, honey, I love you"

"I love you too mom"

The officers let them say goodbye, and after that, they got her into the car and drove her away...

*present time*

"So, what did you do?"

"Apparently drugs and murder, but they got the wrong person"

"Yeah everyone says that"

"But I am actually innocent, I am the Avatar why would I-"

"Of course darling, just shut up and play"

The other girl chuckled. It was now almost a week since Korra got imprisoned, and right now she was playing chess with a girl called Chloe, a girl her age with short blonde hair and blue eyes, also, Korra's only friend there
