I can never go back to who I was before him, or when I was with him. What I am now is after him, after them, and after what I did to me. I can never go back to who I was.
Him: Why was I not enough? Why whatever I did was not enough? Why couldn't you be happy and why you always wanted more? Why didn't you care to ask how I was doing? Why didn't you ever ask if I am happy? If love is only taking, and leaving behind nothing but a void, then I can never go back to who I was.
If Romeo had just waited until Juliet's eyes opened, or if Catherine had just accepted Heathcliff, and if only the focus was not on their flaws, would they have had a happy ending and not only ruined their lives, but also people around them.
