Chapter Fourteen: The Truth.

It was a second before someone broke the silence.

"(Y/n) what happened to you?" Ibuki asked still stunned.

"(Y/n)..." Kazuichi looked at Gundham angrily, " I swear to god if you did this-"

"It wasn't him." You tried to stop the conflict.

"Who did?" Ibuki asked.

You looked at Kazuichi then Gundham.

'Kazuichi is never gonna believe that Sonia would be able to do something like this but if I don't tell him he's gonna think something worse is going on... What do I do?' You thought frantically.

Gundham looked at you and nodded, signaling you to tell them what happened.

You let out a deep sigh as you compiled your thoughts "This is going to sound crazy..." You sat down and gestured for the others to sit with you.

Gundham sat down beside you and held your hand.

"You're still on thin ice..." Kazuichi glared at Gundham.

"Listen to what she has to say before you make an assumption." Gundham glared back at him.

"Guys let her speak!" Ibuki yelled.

"Sorry (Y/n).." The two boys said before allowing you to speak.

"You all know how me and Gundham cut ties for a bit, right? This was why," You looked down at yourself, "I got into a situation with someone who was trying to win his favor and she threatened me to stay away from him. When I didn't this happened." 

"Don't be shy say her name." Ibuki had an evil smile.

"Yeah! Who did it?! Was it that girl you told off in the dining hall after the soup incident!?" Kazuichi got more intense about his questioning.

"It was Sonia." Gundham blurted out.

"What?" Kazuichi's posture seemed to fall as soon as her name was mentioned.

"Sonia did this to (Y/n)!?" Ibuki was in disbelief.

"That can't be true! Miss Sonia would never do that to someone! She's a good person!" Kazuichi didn't want to believe anything that was just stated. You expected this reaction, but you couldn't handle the emotions coming up at that moment. You scooted closer to Gundham.

"Souda, please." Gundham tightened his grip slightly to help you calm down

"Of course it would be her! What with asking (Y/n) to meet her in private like all the time!" Ibuki yelled in anger.

"But she wouldn't, I- I know she wouldn't- I-" Kazuichi paused in shock like a deer in headlights "I- She- But-"

"Did she do that when she brought you out of the room for that dare!?" Ibuki questioned.

"No, it wasn't till a couple days later..." You looked down at the sand.

"Dare?" Kazuichi asked still looking dazed.

"During the girls sleepover a while back we played truth or dare, and Sonia told (Y/n) to follow her outside for a secret dare, when (Y/n) came back in she had big red marks on both sides of her face. She said it was part of the dare..." Ibuki explained.

"But... I thought I knew her so well..." Kazuichi had a defeated look in his eyes, you could almost see the moment his soul shattered.

"Mortals are not always as they seem." Gundham sighed.

"Why would Sonia do that to (Y/n)?" Kazuichi looked back up at you and Gundham

You could feel an aura of guilt wash over Gundham as you slightly gesture to him, part of you knew you didn't have the words to explain why without breaking down.
