Rylie's POV
"Take out the assignment from Monday," Mrs. Hughes said. I rolled my eyes and flipped through my notebook and passed a few pages quickly. I noticed some writing a few pages back, I ripped out the assignment and left it in the corner of my desk for Mrs. Hughes to collect. As I flipped my notebook shut I noticed, it again, the writing. I opened my notebook to the page and read,
Rylie I love you babe, I miss you I mean I'm probably like right down the hall in class, but I'm always thinking of you... I'm probably smiling right now thinking of you. Well unless Mr. Whorl is giving another pop quiz then I'm probably crying... But either way I love you, I hope this brightened your day!
Dated September 15th, yesterday. At the bottom of the page he signed his name, I just smirked and let out a silent laugh.
Mrs. Hughes noticed, "Rylie, what seems to be so funny?" She walked to my desk and snatched the notebook from my hand before I could put it away. Mrs. Hughes then rambled about how your notebook was only for notes, but I was too busy thinking of Cole.
"Mrs. Rylie!" Mrs. Hughes yelled as my attention came back to her. "This is unacceptable, reputable even!" She continued. Then she threw my notebook on my desk and told me to get in my game if I ever wanted to get into college. I was already in that's the thing. It's September, but I'm already into my top three schools I'm set.
Cole's POV
"Put your phone away, Mr. Hawkins," Mrs. Ballaro scolded me from across the room. God I just wanna go home. I smirked at the thought of this morning and our house. Our new house. Getting that house was all a blur, it's a 2 bedroom 2 bath house we bought in the suburbs for like really cheap. It was like 135,000. That's not that expensive for a house now a days. Rylie and I had talked about buying a house and moving in together for like a good part of a year. Neither of our parents were too thrilled to hear we found a house. I remember Rylie's dad saying, "They will never save enough money to even think about getting a loan," Now look at us! Our parents talked about us breaking up, what then? Nothing. It's a 2 bedroom house. We can easily share it without sleeping in the same room. I awoke from my flashback when the bell rang for lunch, I couldn't even remember if I had lunch with Rylie today.
I walked into the lunchroom to see no Rylie. I stumbled over to a table and sat down and I heard something from behind me, I turned to see Josh and Scott sitting alone wondering why I didn't sit with them. I walked over to the table and sat down, "Hey man!" I said quickly addressing both guys.
"So, Cole how's the new life? A house, your girl?" Josh questioned.
"Great, Rylie is amazing and the house is so nice you guys should come over some time!" I said. I started to ask them when they wanted to come over and I was cut off by a cough behind me. "Eh-hem!" I heard behind me. I turned to see Rylie and Carson, her best friend.
"Hey come sit babe. Hey Carson!" I said quickly not thinking to ask the guys. Josh and Scott just furrowed their eyebrows and continued the conversation.
Josh said, "We can come over tonight if that's cool..."
"Go where tonight?" Rylie asked.
I answered her by saying, "Me and the guys were talking about the house. Can they come over tonight, you can come too if you'd like Carson."
Rylie just looked at me for a second then answered in delight, "That's actually a great idea! We can have a little get together, and I can make appetizers!" She laughed after she heard what she said.
"Let's do it Rylie!" Carson said to her excited.
I just looked at Rylie and she nodded her head saying to me, "Yeah, let's do it."
