It was the next morning. When I woke up I was very surprised why I was wearing my normal clothes but I didn't bother and continued normally, but I noticed how she looked at me and that wasn't normal looking, but I thought nothing more about it

2 YEARS LATER

we cadets have already passed two years. It's amazing how quickly that went by. We still had 1 year ahead of us, but I was happy that then I could finally join the survey corps. But one thing worried me. What if Hange goes to another division, although I couldn't imagine it, I was worried. That evening we talked a lot again and I finally asked her which division she wanted to go and luckily she wanted to join the survey corps. From then on, this year went by in a flash.

YEAR 842

so today was the all-important day. We now had to decide which division we would join. I was still sure where to go. Just like hange. We waited until the commander of the survey corps came on the stage and to my astonishment there were very few who decided on this division. Despite being among the top ten, I still decided to go to the survey corps. After that everything went very quickly, we got our uniforms and coats and shortly afterwards we went on our first mission outside the walls. I have to say I had never met a titan before, and neither did hange. We were all the more excited when we finally stood in front of the gate in Shiganshina and just waited for it to open and we could ride off. As I looked around I froze. I saw my little brothers and they weren't as small as I remembered.

It was the first time I saw her again in over three years. I saw this sparkle in their eyes and that they were certainly very proud of me but then I saw HER. My mother tried to bring my brothers back home, but they didn't want to and then they pointed to me. I froze. Hange noticed this and tapped me, which frightened me too. She asked if everything was okay and I just replied that I had seen a person where I did not expect to see them again. Her eyes widened and she tried to find out who it is. I hadn't told her at the time what was going on with my family because I didn't think it was important or what had happened on the day when I signed up as a cadet. I feel bad that I didn't tell her. even though I trusted her, I didn't tell her. What kind of friend am I? At that moment my thoughts were interrupted. We should get ready.

I looked back one more time and saw my mother go home crying with my brothers. But from now on I only concentrated on the mission. We rode off and I was as happy as a little child on his birthday. That was the best day of my life and I also saw how happy Hange was. We looked at each other and just smiled, but that changed quickly. At the beginning everything went according to plan until they showed up. The titans. I only saw our group leader fire the red color grenade. From then on everything went so quickly. The first thing the Titan got was the extreme ones who were in our team, then he pushed forward to the group leader until he was with us. Hange and I were frozen with fear. The Titan tore the horses from under our legs. But I managed to react as quickly as possible. Before he could grab us, I grabbed Hange's hand and ran. I ran as fast as I could until I was ready to use my 3D maneuver device. I fired a red paint grenade hoping someone would find us.I saw that hange was afraid but at the same time she was enthusiastic about the Titan and it was no different for me. Despite that I was very scared, I was fascinated by the titan. Fortunately for us, the team discovered what was next to us in the formation and took us with them. Unfortunately for us, it didn't take long until the mission was canceled.

We came back the same day. The residents insulted us. They shouted we were wasting their tax dollars and they asked why so many people died. I covered my ears and then I saw her again. My mother. She looked at me and I saw the disappointment in her eyes. At that moment, tears came to my eyes.

Hange POV

We were back in Shiganshina and people were berating us. I ignored it but then I looked over at Y / N and I was shocked. I saw her cry. That was the first time I saw her cry. I was one hundred percent sure that she wasn't crying because of the abuse. The person from this morning had to be there again. I looked around to see if I could find her, but then I saw a woman who looked Y / N straight in the eye with a look that didn't look nice. When we were finally back in the main headquarters I ran to Y / N and hugged her so tightly that she couldn't free herself. I dragged her into my room and hugged her tightly again. Then I put her on a chair and should she explain everything to me. At first she refused and said it was nothing, but I didn't buy that from her because I know her and I already know that something bad would have to come for her to cry and then she buckled and told me everything that happened three years ago, what happened to me about her family and what happened to her father and why she wanted to join the survey corps. I was shocked when I heard about it. But before I could say anything we all had to get together, and I didn't suspect good news
