Cute Next Door Neighbour

(n o t) f i r s t s i g h t. pt.2

This was actually, in fact, not the first sight of him.

3:11 pm

My eyes widen at the sight of who I said was a cute boy. Earlier today, that was the guy I accidentally bumped into. I cover my face from embarrassment, hoping he wouldn't recognize me.

"Hey, go and ask he's right there." Aston whispers to me while slightly pointing at the boy. Gwen noticed my flushed face. "Woah, are you already in love with him? You only saw him once—OW!" I punched her, causing her to yell a bit too loud.

"No, I'm not in love with him! That's the guy I bumped into today in the hallway while skipping." London and Ashland knew what I was talking about.

"Oh, the new kid right?" London whispered to us. I glanced at the boy once again to make sure he couldn't hear. AirPods are in..good.

I nodded. "Well, he's new to our school why don't you ask-" As the subway stopped the boy stood up and walked off. Us girls were panicking. "LARKIN DO SOMETHING!" "WHAT, ME?!" We all started to yell at each other in a whispering tone, of course.

The boy was soon out of sight and the subway doors all closed. We sat there in silence.

"You're going to regret that, this guy was actually cute." Gwen pointed at me. "Don't need to tell me, I'm already regretting it." I cross my legs and look forward in the seat the boy was sitting on. I spot a white square just laying there. I cock an eyebrow up, as I was curious on what that was.

Maybe he dropped it?

I got up carefully, as the subway was still moving. The others looked up at me confused. "What are you doing?" Ashland asked me. I grabbed the white square, which seemed to be a folded up piece of paper.

I put it up in the air for the others to see and sat right in the spot where the mystery boy sat.

"OUUUU A NOTE?!" Aston yelled, to the point where some people looked at us. "Shut up!" London thumped her head. She whined and rubbed her forehead in pain.

I laughed at them and began to open the note.

"Well?" "What does it say?"

(the note):
Hey mystery girl,
Your friends seem to be a bit louder than you think but it's okay HAHA I found it funny how they kept forcing you to ask me for my socials—well here you don't have to ask me anymore :))

Good thing he didn't recognize me or hear me say I was the one that bumped into him.

I sat back down beside Gwen and London. "What was it?!" They all whisper, yelled at me. I handed it over to my left side where both, Gwen and Aston, were sitting. They both gasped.

"His name is Zealand?! That's so fitting!" I smiled brightly not wanting to smile. "I KNOW RIGHT!" They both jumped at my response, as I covered my mouth.

"Hmm, seems legit to me." "Yeah, he seems cool."

"He's not JUST cool..he's HOT." Us four looked to our left staring at Aston who was looking at her phone. "I searched up his Finstagram account and....he matches Larkin SO WELL!" She handed me the phone and I scrolled through the photos
