Mary POV
As the week passed, I kept my thoughts in by questioning Jason about all of the people at the manor.
Cassandra was quiet but could kill you with a look and had a deep daughterly affection towards my dad's adopted father.
Bruce(that was the man's name) was stoic most of the time although he never lacked in compassion for people who were hurt. I thought that that was sort of sweet. I just hoped that my 'grandpa' would be fine with my playful nature.
Timothy, or Tim as he prefers to be called is a tech geek who has a habit of skipping meals and drinking too much coffee. Jason says that he's not hard to get along with, being as he's an introvert.
Stephanie was Tim's on-again-off-again girlfriend. She was lighthearted, goofy, and tends to show off her blonde side at hilarious moments.
Damian was a spoiled brat who was around my age. He is selfish, apparently. Jason says that he's the only one that I should avoid at all costs. Then again, he says that the only that Damian likes is my father. Maybe he'll be fine with me too...

That preparations at the manor were chaotic and highly unnecessary in my opinion. All of the women were excited about finally having a teenager in the house since I, apparently, don't count.
My father, however; was not the perkiest about the whole ordeal. For starters, Grayson never told him about the child and only recently has found that she would be staying with us.
Pennyworth liked getting a new room decorated. I only know this because he asked me specifically to help him. Not that I would know what a girl would like. I simply compared the thoughts he had for the room to Jon's room. Being that he was the only half-normal person that I talked to.

The day she came, I was a nervous wreck. And I couldn't even hide it.
I woke up earlier than I should have and sat on bed thinking about what I would say to her.
I assumed that she would be mad at first, or sad, depending on her personality. Either way, it would be awkward. I was hoping that we could find something to talk about on the way home, but that probably wouldn't happen. I grumbled out of frustration. I just wanted everything to work out.
After about ten minutes I went downstairs and grabbed five cinnamon rolls from the plate Alfred had made. (If she was anything like her mother and I, she could eat up to her weight in food. And I may have been a bit hungry myself)
I walked out to my car, looking up at the unusually clear sky.
"Hopefully this is a good thing," I thought aloud, " please God, don't let her hate me."
I got in my car and went to the airport, waiting for half and hour before looking at my watch. Crap. I was three hours early. I sighed and leaned my head back, knowing that I couldn't just leave and come back.
I looked at the bag of cinnamon rolls and grabbed one. I would need something if I was gonna wait here for this long.

Getting on the plane was the one of the hardest things I have ever done, right next to burying my mother.
All my friends had gifts and Uncle Roy and Uncle Jason had both gotten me a necklace with a pocket on the end and a charm bracelet with a painted shooting star already attached. I hugged them both around the neck and cried. I didn't think that I could live without them.
Lian cried as she hugged me as tight as possible. Jai and Irey both have me short but compassionate hugs. I slowly pulled away, blowing them all playful kisses as I walked up the steps to the private jet. (Apparently my grandfather was still rich.)
After I got on, I waved to them until I could no longer see the little specs of what was my home.
'Home is where the heart is, but you can't always live inside of your chest. It is good to get out a little and have adventures, because they teach you the most.'

I waited tediously for Grayson to arrive with his spawn.
Usually, I wouldn't care about such a matter as unknown children, being one myself. But the entire family was engaged in a conversation over the girl.
They speculated her hair, her eyes, body type, personality, and any other trait they thought interesting. It was quite dull.
My only worry was that a this child would interrupt the natural routine of our family. She is unknown, after all. For all they know, she could be an anti-hero! (She has known Todd for quite a while...)
I idly wondered if she was involved in hero work. Most likely, because Grayson wouldn't risk our secret by having her here if she didn't know. Then again, he does seem more focused on being a good parent to her as of late.
I sighed, letting go of my stressful thoughts and trying to ignore the excited voices of my...family.
Why is it still so hard to say that?

The jet arrived around 1:30 P.M. , right after I had decided to get lunch. I laid the bags down (I had gotten some food for her too, just in case) and walked to where I was supposed to find her.
She was the only one-other than the pilot and staff-getting off, since it had been a privet jet of Bruce's.
It was weird, seeing my daughter for the first time in fourteen years. Jesus, it's been so long.
I wanted so badly to run and hug her and never let her go, but my better judgement told me not to. (Along with a few warnings from Jay.)
Instead, I gave her a smile and offered to take her bags. She shook her head and then studied me for a long moment.
"You're my dad?"
