Part.6 Snowballs chance in hell

(A/N) The yakuza boss died with Eri's pearents in a "plane crash" when she was 2 so Overhaul became the new boss. This Overhaul also hated the previous boss and when the "plane crash" happened, he took charge. Also Eri hasn't awakened her quirk yet. She's currently 3. But that doesn't mean she wasn't experimented on.

Overhaul pov*
It has been 1 year with no progress, the subject resists every step of the way. No matter how many times I kill him, how many times I tortured him, he never gave in. I'm in my office with Chrono trying to figure out how to deal with him.

Overhaul: "Do you know how Evo dealt with him?"

Chrono: "Well, he never resisted this much with Evo. He was even obedient, like he just wanted to get it over with and go back to his cell."

Overhaul: "Well something has changed and I doubt it's because he misses Evo. He's acting like he has nothing to lose, like what ever was holding him back is gone now" He says taping the table, frustration visibly on his face.

Chrono: "Misses? Holding him back? ...That's it! How did I not release it sooner."

Overhaul: "Did you figure it out." He stopped tapping his finger and looked up at him.

Chrono: "It always struck me as odd, about how he never escaped even though he was so strong and fast. That's because he had something tying him down, or should I say someone. Whenever he tried to excape he would never leave subject 12 behind. He also knew that if he didn't co-operat during experiments subject 12 would get it worse. They also shared a cell which helped him grow attached. But he no longer has that attachment/burden so he doesn't need to listen or hold back."

Overhaul: "So what you're saying is we need to give him a new burden."

Chrono: "Yes mabe we could get him a pet, like a cat or a dog. Mabe even a fox to increase the chance of him growing attached. Or we kidnap another kid. The problem is the heroes have been on high alert recently."

Overhaul: "No need, we already have the old boss's granddaughter. I was going to wait till she awakened her quirk to see if I should keep her or just dispose of her. But this way, she's useful either way."

Chrono: "So what do you want me to do?"

Overhaul: "Throw her in with him and well see if this works. Let's also leave them alone for two week so they can bond and give time for him to grow attached."

Izuku pov*
I never thought I would say this but I miss Evo. He would at least be careful not to kill us, but Overhaul pushes me to the brink of death even killing me. But thanks to his quirk, I never die. The pain and the fealing of exploding then coming back to life sucks. But is surprisingly less painful then the doctors devils blood.

Today I have a bad feeling. Not only have they not come for me for my daily torture session with Overhaul. But they also fed me a decent amount of food, this scares me more than the Overhaul not coming.

Suddenly I hear footsteps and what sounds like a little girl whimpering. They keep coming closer and stop at my door. The door swings open and it's chrono with a little girl in his arms.

Chrono: "Say hello to you're new roommate." He says practically tossing her to the ground. Her knees gets scratched up in the process. He slammed the door shut and walks off.

She crawls into a corner trying to hide, whimpering and shaking. I approach her slowly trying not to scare her. She sees me approaching and starts to shake even more. I stop when I'm a few steps away and hop on my knees, she's still shaking and is trying to figure out if I am a threat to her yet. I tried to think of something to help calm her down and get an idea.
