AN: Okay a quick rundown as to what to expect: I don't plan on there being smut. There will be swearing. If lines from the show seem a little bit off it's because I'm more familiar with the English dub. For the most part, this story will be focused on Akira's life, her relationships and friendships. All of which are flexible but I'm kind of leaning toward her being with Bakugo because who doesn't love a slow burn angsty ship? But who knows. I'll discover that along the way. A fair warning that Akira's quirk isn't explained in great deal in this chapter but it will be a lot more in the future. I should also mention italicized paragraphs are set in the past. And I swear if I do a fic about season two, I will have a better title.

"Akira!"

The young girl didn't dare open her eyes at the sound of her brother's urgent whisper. She groaned, really not feeling up to whatever he wanted to do. She hadn't gotten much rest last night thanks to Bakugo.

"Oh C'mon. You need to get ready for school anyways. I just want you to see this."

She felt him tap her forehead with his phone and she sighed heavily.

Some hero must have done something quite impressive last night or else he wouldn't bother showing her. She usually was interested in her brother's notes. His hero analysis was always detailed and useful. However, now she was dead tired and all she could think about was finding some form of caffeine.

She forced herself to sit up and she rubbed her eyes while she grabbed the phone, "Izuku, can we get some coffee on the way to school?"

"Sure, just look what it says!" He urged.

'Endeavor saves 55 from a runaway train.'

Akira glanced over the first paragraph, not really getting much of a visual in her mind given how foggy she felt. She had pushed herself too much last night just like Katsuki was always saying not to do.

"Any footage?" She asked her brother who gave a slight frown as he shook his head.

"Not yet but it's still pretty early in the morning," Izuku offered as she handed his phone back over.

She hadn't been thinking of the burn mark on her wrist other than it felt sore. She was too drained to be thinking of concealing it but it was there plainly on her wrist.

It was her own fault for not predicting his movements. She could usually figure out almost every move the raging boy would make. That was the first time in a while he had taken her by surprise. Still, he was acting out of desperation which left him open to her own attack that sent him hurtling backwards onto the arm of a park bench.

"Are you two fighting again?" Izuku asked once he saw the hand print shaped burn.

She and Katsuki did a good bit of fighting growing up. Mostly because she was always trying to protect Izuku. She wouldn't let Katsuki get away with bullying. Nevertheless, they always seemed to fall back into each others orbit one way or another. They hadn't physically fought in a good bit. He hadn't been harassing her brother as much (at least that she was aware of) so this burn did not come from a real fight.

She would have told her brother what was going on but it just didn't feel right. He had dreams of being a hero. More so than anyone she had ever known but she just didn't see it happening anytime soon. She believed in him. She truly believed that if anyone in this world could find a way to be a hero without a quirk, it would be her brother. Maybe he could be the first hero without one. Who knows, maybe he could build a bunch of gadgets and become as strong as anyone else with a quirk. Despite his resilience, she could not imagine him getting into UA for the hero course. That was his next goal and they had talked about going together for years but Akira could only see him getting into other courses such as business or support. This is why she hadn't told Izuku that she had been training alongside Katsuki for about two months.
