Memories Of you || Bakudeku
========================
Nobody can predict the future. That's why everyone should be prepared for life changing events. Since they happen in an instant and nobody gives you enough time to prepare for them. That's exactly what Katsuki would have liked to know before he had heard those words from Shoto.
"I'm sorry, Bakugou... Believe me, we searched everywhere... He's really-" the half and half male started, not wanting to give him any false hope.
"No! He can't be-... He's strong! I know, he must have made it out! He ALWAYS does!" Katsuki stated, refusing to believe that his lover was actually gone. Actually dead.
"I know it's hard for you to accept. Hell, I can't even believe it, but you need to come to terms with the reality of this situation. Deku's gone and you're the number one hero to take his spot" Shoto said as he put a hand on the devastated blonde's shoulder. "He was my friend too. You can talk to me about anything-" he said in a lower voice.
Katsuki could tell that the other man was also extremely hurt by this but was just trying to bury his feelings. "Tch- whatever... I don't want or need to talk things over with you Icyhot" he muttered.
Shoto sighed softly and nodded. He could tell that the other just needed some time to collect himself and his thoughts. "I'll give you a week off work if that'll help?" He suggested, since everyone needed time to grieve in their own ways.
"Hell no! I'm not taking off work from something as.. as little as this" Katsuki exclaimed quickly, giving him a glare. His voice was trembling but he forced himself to stay strong.
For himself.
And for Izuku.
Yeah, Izuku would have wanted that.. right? He would have wanted Katsuki to be strong for him.
Shoto didn't say anything, except raise an eyebrow. "Alright-.. just take it easy Bakugou" he said before heading out of his office and back downstairs to break the news to the rest of the team who had gone on the mission.
Katsuki watched as he left, closing the door behind him and taking a seat on his chair. He was never good with feelings, so he couldn't really describe the feeling he was getting in his chest.
It hurt. A lot.
But on the other hand, he just felt empty.
Like nothing mattered anymore.
He groaned and covered his face with his hands. The tears were welling up in his eyes but he couldn't afford to be crying right now...
Crying was Izuku's thing. It's what made him Deku. The man that Katsuki loved.

"Come on nerd. Why are you crying so damn much?" Second year Katsuki asked, giving the other some tissues.
"It's sad Kacchan! They had to a-abandon the dog and... And it looked so sad!" Izuku said through his tears and sniffles. "You should be crying too! Don't you have any feelings for the dog?"
