"Dad! Sato's out training with Papa!" Tsukiko said, shouting from her room.

"Thanks for letting me know!" Hitoshi said, before sitting on the coach. Dear Lord today was exhausting, who knew hero work could wear out an old man so much?

He checked the time, 5:30 pm. All he could do for the time being is wait for his son and husband to come back. He decides to take a nap for a few minutes.

About 15 minutes his phone began to ring, he looked at his phone to see it was from Cleo. He picked up his voice raspy.

"Hello?"

"Dad, something's wrong."

"What's wrong? Are you okay?" Hitoshi sits up in a panic.

"Yeah yeah I'm fine! But some of my recent cases are... interesting."

"What do you mean?"

"The world's changing, Quirks are evolving and I understand that but this is just next level."

"Cleo I can't understand a word coming out of your mouth."

"So on my last few human trafficking busts, they were all warehouses and they were kids who were quirkless nothing special or new about that right?"

"Right?"

"But then things started to get weird."

"Weird how?"

"In every single case we've broken the past few months there's been a joker card among the crime scene with the words "thrown out unused" on it. There's also consistency with the amount of children there always seems to be around 15 or 16 and they rarely come out harmed or even scathed and most of them are from the same schools or areas, some even knew each other."

"So...What does this mean?"

"Well all the kids swear they saw a man who could change time and space. Some said he could rewrite history and another said they were threatened and even saw the world end."

"Ok..."

"These cases however similar have no traces of each other, no dna and even the shipments and deliveries and schedules from our intel don't match up with them having any resemblance. Which I find so odd, it's like everything is set and we were just meant to find them. It's like a big game of hide-and-seek!" Cleo growls frustrated. "Somebody wants us to find these kids. Someone's doing this on purpose."

"Any suspects?"

"That's where I was headed, a few years ago this big fairytale went around to children that the boogie man was reincarnated and he could make everyone forget about you, it later turned out these were the children of high ranked crime lords and mobsters. They were nearly impossible to catch-"

"How'd they catch them?"

"I'm not sure, there's no reports it looked like everything was stolen, burned, or disposed except for one report of an alleged kidnap and something else."

"What?"

"A joker card."

"So you're saying these criminals who are in a cell right now have something to do with it?"

"No it gets more complicated than that, see on this report of alleged kidnap the child was later found unharmed and with no memory except that of a man who quote on quote "changed time and had no face" and this kid later grows up to be a runaway at 17. When the cops found him he said his life was falling apart and again quote on quote "only the man with no face could save him" and then when I tried to go deeper into that case again nothing."
