It's been almost a week since Lennie and George found this beautiful abandoned cabin in the woods they were hunting and gathering materials to make this cabin become a beautiful home for the two boys. They have gathered the materials to make a plow they've captured a couple of wild horses they ran into. And Lennie was very happy that he got to own the rabbits he has always wanted to have. When winter hit the rabbits were fat enough to made into stew. The chickens they had acquired were big enough to have their heads chopped off and be cooked and eaten. And of course over the other seasons when it wasn't cold enough at night to need a fire the went out and got a plentiful supply of fire wood so that during the cold frigid winters they wouldn't have to worry about freezing. George learned how to set traps to catch the bigger game of animals they caught bears, wolves, and deer and every now and again they would run into some type of animal that was not fully dead when they checked the traps so george or sometimes lennie would put it out of its Misery. However when they were unable to trap an animal on some of those more colder nights they would have to make do with whatever they could get their hands on.
