It was three in the morning on Bucky's birthday March 10th. He and McKenna had just arrived at the hospital. She had been having contractions for two hours and they came in when they got closer together.
Her doctor checked her cervix when she came in. "Oh yeah we are ready to go Mrs Barnes." She said
Bucky made the phone calls to the family and to their friends. While McKenna was getting her epidural done. He laid down beside her on the bed and held her hand and the sound of their son's heart beat lulled them both to sleep. The nurse's periodically came in and checked her cervix.
After five hours of being there it was finally time to push. After four pushed at 835 AM their son Henry James Barnes was born. He was 8lbs and 7oz and 20 inches long. Dark hair and big blue eyes. Winnie was over the moon when Bucky placed him in her arms.
"Here we go again." Elijah said in a low tone
"Shush." Winnie said not taking her eyes off her newest grandson.
"Mama's favorite gave her a new grandson." Jasper said
"I love all my children the same Jasper James. But he is my baby boy my last boy no different than Odette is my baby girl cause she is the last one of my girls." Winnie said
"I'm the last one period. And now this little nephew of mine not only shares a birthday with his daddy he shares one with his favorite auntie." Odette said
"You don't know that he can't talk yet." Ruthie said
"Oh I know. " she said as she took Henry and sat down with him.
Winnie cut her older children a look. She knew why they felt that Bucky was the favorite of the six cause he was the one that told her about James' cheating.
"Well I'm out. Congrats James." Elijah said as him and Jasper left.
Winnie hugged Bucky and McKenna as the others gushed.
