CHAPTER 12 - Expressive

Matthew's pov

After taking a good long look at Kia, I finally calmed down. She walked over to me and took a seat in the chair beside me. We had the first two sessions with each other but for both classes we sat in silence. I really felt bad about yesterday and decided to apologize to her in a note. I passed it to her, she read it and nodded. Well I believe that's a yes. Thank goodness. I then asked who's she having lunch with a note. She replied telling me either by herself or with Catherine. I guess Catherine is the girl who saved her. I thought this would be one of the greatest ways to introduce her to some pack members without her knowing. So I invited her and Catherine to have lunch with us. She nodded at my request. I am pretty sure I had one of the biggest smiles plastered on my face. When we were outside of class I believe she went for Catherine. She came back with this girl in her hand and stood in front of me. My eyes opened wide and her face filled with shock. Damn it!! My mate's friend is a rouge.

Kia's pov

"what's wrong " I asked Catherine.

" nothing "she replied a bit jumpy.

" are you sure? "

" yea. It's just that your friend is one of those popular guys "she whispered in my ear.

" OK. - well he invited us for lunch. "

" no thanks you go ahead, it would be weird having me around at the table. "

" what? No rejections you're coming and that's final. "

" but? "she said looking in my eyes.

" no buts "

" oh fine "she sighed.

We all walked to the cafeteria. Along the way I glimpsed a lot of death stares for what I don't know. I had brought my lunch from home so I just followed Matthew to the table with Catherine trailing behind. We were walking to a table that had five persons but could hold eight. I stood behind Matthew with Catherine behind. When we got closer everyone turned around suddenly that could give a heart attack. They slowly looked at each other then turned around. OK what was that all about. We were now at the table and everyone looked at Catherine and I.

"guys I would like you to meet my ma-friend Kia Sutherland and her friend Catherine. "Matthew said pointing at us when her called our names.

" hi" I said looking at Catherine to do the same only to see her returning a stare with a guy at the table. I had to elbow her to get attention.

"h-hi "she stuttered.

Matthew then motioned us to sit. I sat beside him while Catherine sat beside that guy. Lunch time went by quickly and I then had Matthew direct me to the physics lab knowing how exciting it was to meet new friends.
